Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Carolina
After several days, it looks like a Georgia vs North Carolina game in South Carolina is a better idea than simply GA vs SC, which I think the GA/NC/SC idea is simply put: Phenomenal. This has jump started much conversation and support. Lets keep this thing rolling men.

I am a bit of a jerk.
There have been a lot of games since the last fatality. Roses are red, violets are blue, so is your car at 102

The last one was a huge, HUGE, mess. I would worry about both GA and SC players wanting to show up to another one with as many problems as we had last year...

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
Trust me, they'll come. Especially if its at a popular setting as Georgetown or SQA. This is just in the works. At OP Blackout in GA back in September 24th, I spoke with GA's command staff and several GA players, one game does not justify what the future can bring. Spencer Harrell and Airsoftjunkiez will be at SQA on January 5th, Ghost has already made plans to speak with several people in GA and SC who can help this get jump started. Give it a chance, hell Bobby Petrino got hired in football again, then I know another border war can happen.

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
Look it is a good way of having both states work out the event, location, and othe misc plans to have a better event. If members (GA and/or SC), AOSC reps and/or GA upper voices do not want to do this out of the past, then so be it.
I believe that, this event, can be a good mending of the past. Please remember that most of the issues was no AOSC reps was included in the planning. Well here is the what you have wanted.
I have spoken with a few of the more known GA teams, and have to speak with others. Of course this is a thread for incite. If you just don't want to be a part of this, then please just don't try to ruin this thread with slander of the past. Give ways to repair it.

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
I think It would be in sc this time since it was in ga the last time, preferably at airfarm

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
I don't think Airfarm would be big enough. I haven't been to Bowman or Georgetown, but SQA would be a good choice.
Guys, dont bash this. Lets actually try it out. If its organized well enough then go for it. I would love to help with the planning or even help admin if you guys need it.

Bowman is a huge field that has amazing work done to it with many structures on the field itself. Only 2hrs from Aiken, SC, and about 35-45 minutes from Anderson.Felix wrote:I don't think Airfarm would be big enough. I haven't been to Bowman or Georgetown, but SQA would be a good choice.

Ghost told me Georgetown is a good field, and I've heard of it being top notch. Deon from Jaguar 12 tells me a lot of good about it as well.

I wish that Blue Hole would be available. It has more than enough land and with the location it would be the easiest for all players to make.

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
Please understand that while I am an old Georgia player and know the goings on over here pretty well, I do not speak for GA players in general. But here's my 2 cents worth.....
While Georgetown in Dawsonville, GA is a large, nice field, it lacks parking and camping space for even 100, much less the 300+ possible. It is also quite a drive for the typical SC player (3+ hours from the border, plus however long it takes to get there). Battlezone Paintball in Bowman, GA was where the disaster game was held last year. While I actually prefer it to Georgetown, it is miles from anything, camping and parking is somewhat limited, and many will likely have "bad memories" from the previous GA vs SC event held there.
Blue Hole would be excellent, but its out. Airfarm would be excellent, and honestly would be my choice of the available fields mentions (that I've played). I have not yet visited the (fairly new) SQA field, it may well be an excellent choice. Even Red Fox wouldn't be terrible. Wish the Westminster field was still available, it was large, had gorgeous terrain, and was extremely convienently located for a "border war" (being only 10 miles from the border).
I agree that this one should be held in SC (if it is held at all) though, its SC's turn. Just keep in mind that the further from GA it is, the fewer GA players you will likely have.....that may be a good or a bad thing, depending on how you view it.
I have reservations, however. Gotta' be honest here, Mr. Harrell is a nice guy and I consider him a friend but he has very little experience in running a large scale event, certainly not on a large field. OP: Blackout, their second event (and first away from the small Columbus field) was a mess, to be blunt. Airsoftjunkiez has never ran an event, ever. They are a small but growing retailer. Even I have more experience in putting on events, which is just sad. Airdog Airsoft, the ones who sort of railroaded the most recent GA vs. SC event at Bowman, are all but defunct now (having closed their store and CQB facility), so they will not be a major factor in the matter this time around.

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
Looks like SQA is in the lead. There is much to be fixed, discussed, and done to make this a large scale event, but it can be done. Hell, TDC had well over 300, a large amount yes. Adding the GA reps and the SC reps working together will be the main reason this game will come out to be better than lsatr year. A work in progress, but I have my faith in this thing.

Re: SC vs. GA, Border War 3
Don't forget that GA functions differently than SC, they've got several "pockets" of airsofters, not just Harrel's group. Will other reps from these different parts of the state be brought into the discussion? or just the two as spoken before? I'll support it, because I like big games. But I want to make sure that everything is properly planned to maximize GA attendance.

Good, Good. Now, how many AOSC reps have you talked to about this?
