A&K SVD Upgrades?
Well I found a couple of of upgrades for my A&K SVD at Airsoftpro.cz and was thinking on getting the Precision HopUp Chamber. Then I started looking at other parts I could upgrade and saw the CO2 upgrade set, the only thing is that between 600-700 fps might be too much (wouldn't be allowed because it was too high)?

Ok, I just won't worry about that unless I get lots of money.

Re: A&K SVD Upgrades?
Assuming the A&K SVD is pretty much the same as the AtoZ /King Arms straight cocking spring SVD's, you don't need a new hopup chamber anyway, just a better bucking (I liked the promy purple) and different nubbin (carved my own).
There's lots you can do with/to these (used to own the AtoZ one), but honestly not much that is really needed. Biggest improvement is in securing the buttstock to the receiver better, using 4 bolts rather than 2....see me at an event and I'll show you what I mean (as its been many years now and it is easier to explain with one to look at).

Re: A&K SVD Upgrades?
I don't believe the A&K SVD is the same design as the AtoZ SVD. The hop up adjust throught the magwell with a hex head, which is quite a pain.

Re: A&K SVD Upgrades?
Finally got new hop-up in today and installed it. It works great but took about 20 days to get here, customs you know.

The SVD piston and various upgrades in that department are now for sale in stores, just look them up. I know ASGI has them in stock.

Re: A&K SVD Upgrades?
The AtoZ also has a hex head grub screw to adjust the hopup, only it is under the upper receiver cover rather than in the magwell (actually harder to use).

Re: A&K SVD Upgrades?
What hop-up bucking would you suggest? I'm also going to get a inner barrel eventually so any thoughts on what the best inner barrel would be for this?

Re: A&K SVD Upgrades?
The AtoZ came with a systema 6.04 brass tightbore, which I discovered AFTER spending money and replacing it with a Promethius 6.03 stainless tightbore. Dumb on my part.
If this was 2008 I'd recommend a Promy purple bucking (plus quality .30g or heavier BBs and the power up 500 fps spring....the AtoZ model took a special longer-than-AEG-length spring), but no doubt lots has changed since 2008 that I simply haven't kept up with, so take that with a grain of salt.
I also modified the way the stock mounts on the gun to stabilize it better (4 screws rather than 2), changed the O-ring on the piston, and put an O-ring (could use sorbo pat) in the bottom of the cylinder head. Again, YMMV.
