Hi everyone, new guy here. My family and I are just getting started in airsoft. I wanted to know is it best to get our feet wet in official or unofficial games? We have starter guns and no real gear yet. Scavenging and gathering for now. Looking forward to meeting new folks.

Welcome to the forums, is there anything we can help you out with other than the game thing? I do suggest the game on the 6th though if you can make it.

Sorry for the misplaced post. Didn't see the introduce yourself thread earlier. But thanks for the warm welcome! We're starting out with cheap Wal-Mart AEGs so we're not properly armed yet. Our stuff probably isn't up to snuff.

Even so, come out to a game and have fun. There are always rentals at SQA if you really think the guns wont work. But even so, some Walmart AEGs are alright!

You should be fine with the guns you have to start out and get your feet wet. What part of the state are you in?

We were all walmart at some point. Nothing to be ashamed of. If you're looking for some good cheap guns, just look in the for sale threads. You're definitely going to want an aeg if you decide to upgrade. If you can't find anything, just go for a JG M4 or M16. They're around $120-150 and seem to last forever. They're not top of the line, but they'll last you for a while.
