I just letting anyone know that I will be at Battlecats in Anderson this Saturday and Sunday. I know that weather will not be the best for outdoor games so I plan on just having fun inside. Maybe some might want to give it a try. I would call ahead, because they have a max of 40 player per open play. If you want to try and have fun, come on down.

Their hours are: Saturday 2-6 $25 and Sunday 1-6 $25. You must have full one piece "paintball" style mask and no mesh is allow. Also they do not allow straight propane because of indoor and smell. All guns are CQB speed and semi only.

Some will hate in this, but that is the wonderful thing about forums. You will see the haters, and the players. Haha. Later

Might make it there this weekend, not sure yet.

Just to be totally sure, they upped the FPS a while back to 330 w/ 0.20 right? Remember it being 300 a long long time ago, or some promo material I read. Can't remember.

On a side note, aren't you up there all the time? Is the "blah" vs Ghost you on their promo material?

The 300fps is what AOSC uses. Yes it is 330fps with .20s, which is 300fps with .25s.

As for being there all the time, I guess I do go alot. It is good to get back to tight close quarters and working with newbies to get in to Airsoft. With me going there, the AOSC has gotten many more players to make it to their events. And it is easier to just go and play no matter the weather out side.

As for "crossing Battlecats off..." Sorry to hear that. $25 for 4-5 hours get you unlimited .20s, full rental if you need it, and an indoor environment. As for the semi only, with 0 med and walls/corners that are ten feet tall... well let me say that we run training days with National Guard and local S.W.A.T./ HRT PD that use our group as opfor. They used to start with full auto! After one round, that changes real quick.

But that is their rules.

Trust me, I have played there. Semi only IS NEEDED... And honestly its some of the most fun I have had, also the most pain. Its funny hopping corners on kids and getting so many kills.

Last time I went to Battlecat the average age was really, really young. It's a feel good experience for sure, since half the kids can't hit you with the rental guns at point blank, but I don't want to ruin the experience for them by cutting down kids who are just there to have a good time with their buddies.

That and the parents were none too happy with us being there, one even muttered to us that it was "ridiculous" that we were there.

Haven't been in going on a year and not sure if those attitudes have changed. If they're still roughly the way I remember them I might have to pass on the weekend.

Else we could always make it 1v1's and you could teach me a thing or two :), hopefully catch you off your game.

EDIT: Felix is spot on. I don't think Battlecat would be enjoyable outside of semi-auto.
