lunch options at games
Ok i am deciding whether or not to open a food truck. It will be now or never and i have an unbeatable menu, and solid business plan requiring half the loan a normal food truck startup needs. How many of you would be interested in having a food truck or two at games?

Good luck on it. That is a great idea! I hope that you do know that most of our player base is 14-100, and few bring cash. So one big suggestion would have plastic payment ability.

Have the card reader iphone app, will make it worth it.
If you serve food worth eating, for prices the same as fast food, then you better believe Ill eat at the field over driving to a store.

Mexican food truck + afternoon game = oh boy
Therefore I propose you serve wholesome american food where the meat is in single pieces, i.e. BURGERS

There's no kill switch on awesome!

I'd be interested. It would save gas and time for anyone who normally drives out to get fast good or something.
Re: lunch options at games
Getting a loan for an actual "food truck" wouldn't be advisable, you would not make enough just vending at airsoft games in SC to support it, BUT bringing a cooler full of burger ingredients and a grill, and selling them out of your current vehicle with very little startup cost WOULD be a good idea. You will make a profit without getting indebted, and many people (myself included) would be frequent customers I am sure.

this is an awesome plan. i think you should get the loan at a high interest rate, because you will make a ton of money and food trucks are cool.
good luck god bless godspeed

thanks buddy.
to dom - im going to be doing this full-time, looking at all prospective selling places. had everything but saturdays now i have that.
to everyone else - no mexican food lol at least not to start. also, there will be burgers and i will do all i can to keep price down. i actually already grill @ the swamp, but its been on hold until the new grill arrives, which it did so yall come hungry tmw.
not giving away menu until i am not worried about someone stealing my idea, it is quite innovative. but not so innovative as to try and sell $8 lumpia like some trucks around CHS

Dude, if you sell $1.50 hotdogs and $2.50 burgers you'd have customers out the butt. On and off the field.

Re: lunch options at games
Try selling some cold food as well I.e some pbj sandwiches, hot food isn't always inviting in 100 degree weather

Re: lunch options at games
i will say that i cant go that low. cost and labor and insurance and gas and propane.specter wrote:Dude, if you sell $1.50 hotdogs and $2.50 burgers you'd have customers out the butt. On and off the field.
so far. $3 is hotdog, chips and water
$5 is burger chips and water.
also will have apples and gatorade to sub in at +50 cents each.
right now the main menu is burgers/hotdogs, kebabs and foldovers (top secret)
but kyle makes a good point and i will have cold food options for airsoft games. in addition i will have airsoft themed items like the Thunder-B(eef) mentioned on the facebook. and a foot long "DMR" coney.
im thinking ill have basic condiments free, with some to upgrade to. you can also get your burger/dog/kebab "733t 0p3r@t0r" status with absolutely everything i have on it.

Maybe add ice cream for the summer games.

Heck, gum wouldn't be too bad either.
