KNO3 Smokes

Somebody whose name shall not be mentioned was talking about using these things on a field (presumably the airfarm) as a "Mil sim smoke" Would this be allowed? He says he intends to use a layer of concrete to insulate the actual mixture so it would be "Cold burning". I know they burn hot enough to get a nail bright red in just a few seconds of burning and the leftovers will stay hot for a while. Im talking in the 250's no problem. I would be concerned about somebody stepping in this stuff and it melting through their boot. After having made a few of these I can say I hope to never see them on a field. What say you forum?

It's not up to the participants of the forum, as stated in the game rules, the question of any sort of pyro is up to exactly two people: The field owner, and the AOSC Rep hosting the particular game in question. Therefore the answer depends on both the field, and the specific game at which you want to use them.

I can say I certainly wouldn't allow them.

also, anything that generates ANY sort of flame or heat, whether concealed, contained, or otherwise, is NOT cold smoke. I see this corrected at least once a month. unless it is chemical smoke that generates absolutely no combustion, or some sort of sweet chalk dust filled tennis ball, it is not cold burning.
