Hey yall, I'm relatively new to the milsim airsoft scene and I had a few questions. I'd appreciate any answers I could get.

1) Is Multi-Cam considered tan or green based?
2) Is Swiss alpenflage (http://www.majorsurplus.com/Alpenflage- ... 16711.aspx) considered tan or green based?
3) Could you guys recommend a good set of either goggles or mesh eyepro that fit over glasses? I purchased one set of goggles, but unfortunately they don't fit well over glasses.

Multi-cam is considered tan/Bravo at AOSC games.
If you go to Adventure Beach Paintball/Airsoft in Tabor City, NC, which is just one mile from SC, it is considered green.

The alpenflage question has been asked before, but I have never heard a definite answer.
I wore it with green pants five years ago with no complaints. I also wore a complete set about four years ago, and I think I was on Alpha/green.
There is a team near Aiken who just adapted alpenflage tops and green pants as their uniform, and no one on the AOSC Facebook page objected to it for not matching factions.

Since we are on the subject of alpenflage, here is a photo of a very handsome guy with his SIG 550.

Looks green (Alpha) to me.

So, another question. I'm preparing to attend Operation Graycell, but I'm unsure as to how often we'd be returning to camp, which would determine how much I'd carry and therefore how big of a backpack I need.

Right now, this is what I'm looking at carrying on my chest rig:
6 mags for my rifle
Knife(s)
Basic first aid kit (mostly gauze and tape)
Snackable items, i.e. peanuts and sunflower seeds
Spare battery for rifle
Sidearm

And this is what I'm looking at carrying in my backpack:
Advanced First Aid Kit (SAM splints, CAT, more gauze and tape. I'm a first responder so I like to be prepared)
Entrenching tool (never know when you're gonna need it)
Hydration bladder
MRE (or two, depending on how long we'll be in the field)
Duct tape
BBs/speedloaders (pending the possible rule change concerning loading mags in the field)
Socks
Gold Bond
More socks
Poncho
Poncho liner

Suggestions for anything else to add would be appreciated, as would any specific packs or just a general size.

The gold bond is a good idea. I heard a few at Op Vietnam Patrol 2 complaining about chapped balls and wanting gold bond or baby powder.

The thing to bear in mind about Graycell is that, just like IRL, you'll be given an OPORD before you and your squad step off on each mission. The OPORD will include information that will help you determine what needs to go on your kit for that mission. You will modify your kit throughout the event to suit each mission.
