Re: Operation White Noise

Post by SteevoLS » Sat Jan 16, 2010 10:20 pm

Today left me in a bit of a state of "Wow" for most of the drive home. Not only did we get to use one of the more varied fields in the state, but we also had twice the number of expected players show up... on a rainy day! I'd like to say...
  • Dieselmech: I had a blast rolling with you and our respective squads in the second half of the day. I really need to let some of your guys take point, though... I got shot entirely too many times!
  • GrimWulf: Thanks for holding a Mountain Dew for me. :P
  • Smitty and Vesper: You two did a great job as our CO and XO. Even though the last half of the day turned in to a permanent state of defense, you did an excellent job of co-ordinating squad movements around the field.
  • Whoever safety killed me between my legs at the South Base: I never question a safety kill in the, ahem, nads.
Finally, to all my fellow reps... congratulations on a well-run game! May there be many more.

I want to personally thank everyone of you guys who showed up today. You guys rock. I don't think I heard anything negative throughout the day, even in the rain.  100 players, pretty even teams, great sportsmanship. Games like today is why we started the A.O.S.C.

I got to shoot and get shot by a lot of old and new faces. Diesel, sorry for the butt shot. LOL. Vesper had your back though, to bad I got like 6 or 7 of your guys first.  :P

My hats off to the rest of the reps, and leaders. Great work fellas.

Look forward to seeing all of you at OP24

That's what GRAVE's here for 8)

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO SHOWED UP TODAY EVEN WITH THE THREAT OF RAIN. I honestly wasn't expecting more than 70, and when I counted 100 payed players, there was no difference between me and an 8 year old on Christmas.

Thank you to the leadership for taking control and not relying on me. Especially Vesper and Radar who volunteered the week of.

Adrian, thank you for being there, every game needs a vendor. And thanks for providing something to raffle off.

Most of all, thank you to all the players who showed up. You have truly jumpstarted this organization, and your support means much more than y'all know. I appreciate y'all dealing with the minor setbacks. Thank you most of all for dealing with the paintballers and being mature enough not to shoot them or cause trouble. I have never seen such a fun, friendly enviorment at an airsoft game, and I hope that the AOSC, both reps and players, can maintain that for the rest of its existence.

I am so bummed that I missed this game.  I wanted to come so badly.  I'm very glad to hear about the huge turnout and what sounds like an awesome time.  Congrats to all the mods/admins for a successful first OP.

Well, I must say it was a great day of shooting folks.  I had an absolute blast today.  Thanks for Tanker and the rest of the production folks who helped with the game.  Bravo was outnumbered, but put up a great fight.  I shot a lot of people, and got shot quite a few times as well.  Ninja and I had a nice little little dual.  I do know one other thing for sure.  Inked, I defintiely got you when you guys were assaulting the village.  I even had to come out of my hiding spot so you could see me. ;)  Looking forward to seeing all back on the field and more AOSC events in the future.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

what a turn out! glad to see so many guys at this well organized op. Bravo was  out numbered at 60 some to 30 some but still the game seemed somewhat balanced.
The airstrike set-up was refreshing and a great way to keep squads moving. I must say I had a blast the whole day, especially in the very begining when i held the pilot down which turned pretty epic and also towards the end i ambushed a whole alpha platoon at the fort and got 7 or more guys in about 3 seconds until they came and pistoled me out...but what a rush...

anyway thanks to ben and april....great job on the op as usual. Great job to garret and grim and all other who made this AOSC game a huge success.

till next time...

Awesome game everyone!

Ben and admin, thank you for putting this together. I was surprised by the turn out and I can't wait to see what the next game(s) will be like.

Alpha, you all played with honor and I am proud to say I played on the same team as you. Alpha command did a good job and did a good job with planning.

Bravo, great job and I enjoyed slinging bbs at you. D.Smitty and Vesper, you both did an awesome job commanding your troops and keeping Alpha close to their base.

Henry, my comrade at arms, as usual it was an honor to serve with you.

Grimwulf, thank you for choosing our event to raffle that awesome pistol off. I appreciate that you stepped up to start a licensed airsoft business and I pray that it continues to grow and help a lot of people.

Finally, to the AOSC as a whole, you all have proven that it truly is about the people and having fun. It isn't about what kind of gun you have or how much gear you can put on. It is about coming out, having a smiling face, and having fun no matter what the situation is.

Awesome game everyone!

I have to say, Bravo's last stand in our spawn point was the most intense firefight I have ever experienced. I know many of Alpha felt my SAW...

Tanker and Poca, my hat's off to you!
