This is why we post something before every game about pre-hydrating your body.Boogieman wrote: That is why I drank a ton of water during Thursday and Friday (and during the game as well), which kept me sweating like crazy, which in turn kept my body cool enough to feel fairly well in those conditions

Re: OP White Noise II - July 24th 2010
i brought this up before a long time ago, but now if AOSC is going to chrono guns with .20 filled mags at the chrono station, players should bring proof of water/hydration. it wont make it much longer of a process..and beleive it or not...we may dress up as uber cool specops operators...but most of us are not in any kind of physical shape to run around all day in 106 degree heat. the smart thing to do is hydrate and pace yourselves. thats what i do...and i am one of the elder players of AOSC. i would like tosee a pool of how many people threw up at this game.

seriously having people leave halfway druing the game kind of ruins it for the other players and the people who planned it, conversly...a note to future games in the summer....maybe not such a grand style till temp is cooler. all heat does it make people pissy anyways in a game where your adrenaline is up. no need to add to the many minor problems we incur during a game...

I didn't mean when you get it you drink more, I'm saying you will less likely get it by drinking more water..Slate wrote:

Re: OP White Noise II - July 24th 2010
I rarely drink anything other than water to begin with, during the game I drank a full camelback (100 oz.) and a large bottle of water. During lunch I drank 2 (48 oz.) Powerade and half a gallon of water. I didn't get Heat Exhaustion, but when people are throwing up, it's usually the cause.
Needless to say, I had to use the facilities hahaha.
Look, I'm not trying to be a prick or anything, I just don't think expectations should be that high. When it stops being fun, then airsoft isn't worth playing. It is a game after all.

Re: OP White Noise II - July 24th 2010
Lucky for me, or kinda unlucky, I started lifting weights again, from so much junk in my system my glands overreacted and I kinda got poisoned, almost an instant lymph gland infection, like a cancer ( young folks, lay off the junk food if your on it, this is the first time it happened to me, im 36, so start now ). Anyhow because of this I got on a 2 week detox system, flooding myself with water and very little food, just protein supplements. I was full of water and was sweating completely soaked, not very comfortable but all the hydration kept me moving. If I had not done this when I ran out of water, I would have been done..
and on a heat stroke note, one time I was airsofting in the summer, back then I didnt want to feel bbs, so imagine i had jeans on under the camo and a fleese under the camo shirt, full face etc... I got so hot that it almost triggered a stroke, once your body heats up enough, the heat will not subside, heat will continue till your brain boils.. I was lucky that day, but any more pushing and it would have happened..
All this lets us know we need to treat our bodies better, cause in the end, you is all you have.
and another note, running into Boogieman was fun, he was a lone bravo attempting to take mile high. Good shooting and skills, me and another guy are the first guys you encountered. You shot one of us then ran out of there.. Then I brought back Aircross to see what we could find.. It seemed like we were battling more than one person, if so, cudos to your movements! Hope to run into you again..

I drink water pretty much all the time. Hydrating before a game is a non-issue because I'm almost always hydrating... Football is the shit, I miss playing.
I think the horse has been beat quite well, on to other discussions yes?

You were the first ones I have encountered in almost an hour. I was exploring the area, trying to find the Mile High. Finally when I approached that log-fort I started hearing some voices pretty close and then you spotted me... I actually thought there was only one of you. But yes, I was alone and was lucky to find cover after sprinting away from that fort when you called for backup3rd0ptik wrote: and another note, running into Boogieman was fun, he was a lone bravo attempting to take mile high. As for my tank crew we killed you :P lol I had fun even though the first part of the day it was slow and a little confusing but other than that the last 3 small games where a blast!
(Other than getting shoot in the mouth and swallowing the bb, and in the throat)
