CALL OF BATTLE SERIES 2: Russian Spetz May 12th @ Red Fox

To start off it was a great game put on by ninja. I think there might have been more bravo than alpha at the beginning of the game but it was pretty equal about 80 in all, but after lunch there was a few more alpha(not including the kids with defenders) but alpha ended up winning both games against all odds(at least the 1st game).

heh. good game. i loved how after i came back from a self declared lunch break i just walked into silverado right into a whold group of bravo. my head was scratchy from a bug bite so i was itching it and it must have looked like i was saying i was hit. well, i end up chatting with some bravo guys for 5 minutes and then say "i hate to be an asshole but *touch* you're dead. go to respawn." the look on those guys faces was priceless. i ended up taking out 2 more guys before getting popped in the pinky. my buddy was in the room across from me against the corner. i say i'm dead so here comes avenger into the building and my buddy pokes him and yells "safety kill" well, avenger apparently was confused so he turns around and stabs my buddy with his knife and shoots him in the chest 5 times with the barrel against his gut. he then ran away. and i got shot. again. fun game. loved it.

To clear up the safety kill incident near the end of the first game, I walked into a building where Specter seemed to be dead. Knowing Specter, I made the mistake of keeping my muzzle on him instead of checking the other corner. I moved in and I think I talked with Specter for a few seconds. After that, I heard "Safety kill" from behind me. I turned and a guy had an M16 on me. I grabbed the M16 barrel and pushed it away, and started to go for my knife. Realizing that both my hands were occupied, I forgot the knife and fired a burst into his middle. I exited the building feeling pretty smug, and got shot shortly therafter, ruining satisfaction with self. While I was on the ground, I discussed the incident with Green Ninja, who told me that you had to accept safety kills, it wasn't optional. I apologized to the guy several times afterward, and there didn't seem to be any hard feelings at the end of the day. This was a great game, and thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

That's a subject that has been done to death both on the forums and at games. If someone has the drop on you and has the courtesy to say "safety kill", don't be a twit and take advantage of the fact they were kind enough not to leave a bleeding hole in you.

I had a great time Saturday. This was my last game before I ship out to basic on Sunday. A big shoutout is to Chris for being my spotter for the day. In all my years of playing, that was the first time having a spotter. Even though he didnt get to shoot much, he never complained.
This was also the first time in many games where I lost my cool for a minute. I shot a kid right in the side and he turned around and just laid on the trigger. I never get angry at games but that pissed me off.
My greatest accomplishment was getting on Alpha's right flank in Silverado city and picking off people at ease in the city. Best of all no one knew where Me and Chris were. I had many shots this weekend that no one even knew where they came from. Great game and cant wait to be back on the field in September.

I had a fun time and I was happy that alpha obtained victory during both games. I got some kills and when deep behind enemy lines at the beggining of the first game with atl there we stopped two bravo guys who ended up coming back and getting me out while another guy came and got atl out. My only problem was toward the beggining of the second game my gun died on me and I was left to run around with only a rubber knife. Luckily, the guy with the masterkey was nice enough to lend me the masterkey for the rest of the game. Finally, I would like to thank GREEN NINJA for putting on an awsome game.

Thanks to all who came and enjoyed saturday with us. Great day of battles again at red fox. Good job to alpha for an awesome comeback in both well balanced games. Nice to see more and more new guys coming out and finding the sport. For those who did not attend we played different parts of the field never used by airsoft. It was various woodland terrian with low brush filled with natural trenches and simple structures scattered about. Almost 30 acres itself this combo of fields were quite nice.
