Wasn't the cap lowered when ninja posted that only a hundred had pre registered? I don't know how to post stuff from other threads but it's out there somewhere. That field could definitely accommodate way more people though. At least the scenario kept everyone in a small enough portion of the field that we weren't really spread out. Also, my wife would have appreciated a porta potty.

That was not implied, you just have poor reading comprehension and/or made an assumption. The only point that anyone said anything about 700 players was when Green Ninja said:
Q: How many player spots are available for this event?
A: We have a total of 700 player spots, some of which have been filled already.

On behalf of the smaller musically inclined golfcart tank and accompanying infantry/AT support, we'd like to thank you all for having us out again, had a good time despite the heat. Most of our infantry sat out after lunch, having become seriously dehydrated/exhausted, a common enough problem.
Alpha's command staff had a good plan and was well organized pre-game, as a result as soon as we were told game on we headed out with Alpha's infantry in a dead run from start, which is why Bravo encountered us so far down the field (i.e. in the vicinity of the "island" and field area). Despite having wheels and an engine and being in the vanguard, our infantry actually beat us to killing the first Bravo convoy vehicle (the HMWWV). Very impressive effort. Unfortunately as the day went on the operational tempo enjoyed early could not be maintained, and after the convoy reached the point in the road where it became a single roadway we were honestly less effective against them. It was then just a matter of time.

(I need a bigger tank!)
As Star_folder noted earlier, we made a conscious effort to be annoying to Bravo, but hopefully not too annoying.
The number of RPG's (mostly on Alpha) at this game was the largest I've ever seen at an event to date. Mucho props to those who home-built them, including quite a few very young folks, which goes to show that anyone can do it with a little effort and minimal cost. I was pleased that most people remembered that you can't kill a 'real' tank with a rifle (even in video games), by cramming it in some small hole or slot. Get an AT weapon or just bypass us. Despite a perceived lack of AT support on the Bravo side I can personally attest to being blown to smithereens nearly a dozen times during the 5.5 hours we were on the field, mostly by Diesel, D. Smitty, and members of Ghost/6mil Bogeymen. We're dead in most of the pictures of us, in fact! Well done gents. I also enjoyed comparing notes with the Redemption tank crew. It was nice to not be the only tank on hand for a change.
Hope to see you all again in the fall.

On behalf myself and my fire team, thank you for a fantastic event. The enjoyment of battle and socialization with like minded people was a great break from normal weekend games.

Excellence:

Game mechanics- The game was well thought out, orginized, and ran. Smooth operations with all the elements was top notched. Also the admin was easy to get a hold of for all needs. Never in the way, but was always there.

Field (camping and game location)- The camping site was semi smooth and well bush hogged. Large enough to have more campsites in future games. The game field is a dynamic range of terrain, under brush, and topographic challenging for many events.

Players caliber of play- The players , that I did see, called their hits and did not have issues with over shooting.

Needs improvement:

Porta-johns- Any event with more than 20 people needs to have some #2 drop off points. For most, 1 Porta-John for 50 people, is needed to 8 hour period. And the closes restroom was 10-15 mins away, that was funny for those that did not have to go but not for the ones that did.

Water stations at respawn location- Yes the players need to have their one water on them, but water coolers at the respawn would hav helped more on dehydration. Even though we did not have get in a bad way.

Gun control in safe zone- Watching players shooting any gun in the campsite, no matter what kind, is not condoned at any time. For those that walked to the tree line and shot into the wooded area, thank you! Those that walked around with mags in, without barrel blocking devices, was a danger to everyone else.

This event was well setup, fun and wonderful weekend event. I hope to see more games on his field. And all the players, my hats-off to you all.

THANK YOU ALL! I had a fantastic time and enjoyed playing with everyone. Very well done Green Ninja. I know there will never be a game where no one exceeds their MED, but this is the closet one I have ever experienced. I especially liked the level of honor and integrity that both sides showed. Even got several "good hits" from the opposition.

Hats off to:
Mojo, the Bravo staff and players. Especially those who made it to the night game. I honestly thought a herd of deer had bolted out of the woods when Bravo took off for Alphas base. Loved watching the "deer" dive and scatter at my tracer rounds, but they did a fantastic job of getting to the objective and neutralizing it quick.
Ghost for the Fox and Hound game at the end of the night. Fun, Fun, Fun. Also to the two fox that volunteered to be hunted you guys rock.

Deisel for having a great plan and leading from the front. I can always follow that kind of command. Also for keeping our "spirits up". Ha Ha. Can't wait to run with you again.

To both teams that were camped out in our field. Everyone was laughing and visiting throughout the weekend between both teams. Had fun with all of the players that stopped by our tent and played XBOX or watched Blazing Saddles. Look forward to seeing you all next time.

And finally, Green Ninja for a great game design at a great game location. I have no complaints at all.
I do have a couple of suggestions that that might help to make future events even more enjoyable.
1. PORTA JOHNS, especially at a more remote locations. (With extra TP just in case.)
2. FIELD HOSPITALS, these are designated no fire zones on the field with canopy tents that have netting, water and shade where players can make a stop if overheated. It was unexpectedly hot and humid and heat injuries are no joke. (This field was large playing field.)
3. SATCHEL CHARGES, these are mocked up bags that can be issued to each team that allow them to sneak up and deposit around the enemy tanks creating a kill. Works great at Fulda Gap. Especially if there are no refill stations for CO2 or HPA launcher tanks.

Thanks again to everyone for making this a great example of friends coming together and having a great time playing an intense event without making it personal. This kind of play will only grow the sport more, making more targets for all of us, he he he. Hope to see you all again very soon.

Hotspur93 wrote:Unfortunately I wasnt there for the afternoon portion of the game because of heat issues which seemed ever so common. However I do want to comment on the fact that alpha had fewer rockets after lunch then before...I do believe that alpha shot most of their rockets at the begining of the game and werent able to recover all of the launched rockets. I do know for a fact that Smitty picked up one or two of said launched rockets, put them in his launcher, and used them against alphas tanks. If it was intentional or not I think that alphas shortage of rocket attacks could have been due to lack of nerf munitions
I can confirm that I came home with only half the number of rockets I arrived with. So either they were destroyed on impact (as some of ours most certainly were), lost (ditto), and/or went home with someone else. Remember to mark your rockets with your initials or something, all of mine say "Fallout" either on the fins (newer) or head (older). I returned those that did not to their owners before departing. Special thanks go out to those who returned ours. :D

Fallout, I have a few of yours that were recovered in the field. You were gone before I had a chance to return them.

i think alpha probably would have held bravo back but the driver of the convoy vehicle in the front didnt know that he was hit and drove into alpha forward respawn area. With the vehicle being there it allowed bravo to advance and offered them cover and they were able to flank alpha back into a corner definetly affected the turnout on the 2nd half. Overall though it was a great game until i found the red bugs i think is what green ninja called them ( those itch like crazy).

Well the good news is the woods are clear of chiggers at this field now because I thought I got them all. I stopped counting after 20. So if everyone else carried out that many then there can't be any left. I also had one tick that was so kind and attached himself but even with all that I can still say I had a BLAST!

Am I the only one who noticed the American flag on the t-shirts was the 48 star one used from 1912-1959? Did all the chiggers team up and devour two stars? My legs look like someone emptied a mag into them.
