Paintball Central Aug 3rd
Paintball Central
318 Tucapau Road
Wellford, SC 29385
0800: Registration and Chrono open (Field fee is $15)
0915: Safety Briefing begins (If you get in line for Registration or Chrono after 0915, the field fee is $20)
0945: Game start
1230: Lunch Break
TBD Game Ends
Dependent upon heat, we may take multiple breaks throughout the day for players to rehydrate.
PBC requires you to sign their waiver. You may sign this in lieu of the standard AOSC waiver. PBC waiver located here. Only the first page needs to be signed.
The game play here will be very similar to that of Redfox; skirmishes across multiple fields. Expect fast paced objective based scenarios all day long; there will be action aplenty.
PBC has portajohns, a sink, and several large covered table areas. Plenty of accommodations.
-No medic heals inside buildings/mostly enclosed structures
-Thirty second heal, max two consecutive heals, all friendlies are medics
-Mandatory three minute bleed out
-Bravo has odd channels, Alpha has even (as always, no going on enemy channels)
-Deadrags required (it's been a rule for some time, there's no excuse)
-All AOSC rules apply
-Dress for one faction or the other per the rules, you mix faction camo, you don't play (Black with green is NOT OK, etc.)
-Bring a change in case of unbalanced faction numbers
-Channel 1 is for admin, call me on channel 1 if you have any problems or questions at any time
-Stay hydrated!
-Bring a sidearm with 0 MED to clear buildings

Re: Paintball Central Aug 3rd
I think I'll try to make it to this one, should be some fun "speedball airsoft", as long as PBC's gate keeper promises to actually let us on the field on time this time.
As for faction camo, quite honestly the people who break the rule most often seem to be AOSC veterans. I can't tell what team you're on, if all I see above cover is your black shirt and tan vest/ hat (often mixed with Alpha pants). I've been shot out or lost a chance for a hit multiple times because of this. For now on, you confuse me = you get shot.
Please dress for the heat, and bring plenty of water. It gets boring when too many players go home early because of heat exhaustion.Mr. Marauder wrote:Dependent upon heat, we may take multiple breaks throughout the day for players to rehydrate.

"you confuse me = you get shot" seems like it should be a standard rule

If you give me reason to think you're going to shoot me, you better believe I'm going to send a 30 round burst downrange.

I spoke with Sam today to confirm that he understood that we needed the gate open at 8am. I reiterated numerous times to make sure he understood. I don't believe it will be a problem.

New poll up. Want some feedback about the type of gameplay you guys would like. Would you like super simple type of skirmishes, like deathmatch, capture the flag, attack & defend or something a bit more complex. Ex, find the objective, move it and/or protect it; or discover & capture the VIP, escort them to location, etc. Let me know!

I say do some elimination style games. You only can get shot once before you have to head to the sidelines for the remainder of the game. give both teams 10 minutes to do it.

Re: Paintball Central Aug 3rd
Elimination games would be fun, in small amounts. Quite honestly some of us suck and would spend most of the day sidelined, but a few short games of it would definitely be a good idea.
Central flag capture the flag sounds good too. The reason I state a central flag, is because of the field sizes, and the proximity to respawn one would be in order to steal a flag in two flag CTF.
How about a king of the hill match? Both teams try to hold a central plot of ground. To gain points, you must be "alive" and in the capture zone, scored by the amount of time each team stays in the zone.

Re: Paintball Central Aug 3rd
I'd say start the morning until lunch with simple quick games and after lunch get more complex. Just so everyone gets what they like.
