Pretty much the same as last year, though the camping was 10 times better when we didn't have drunk guys running around and people on megaphones at 2 in the morning.
The refs were better I saw more of them calling people out when they saw people getting hit but I still had a problem with hit calling. I would shoot some warsaw people 50 times before they called it probably because my gun has a low fps mainly on sunday though. But I saw this problem on my own side when I could see bbs bouncing off nato people and they just stayed there. But I'm going to be honest a few times I didn't call my hits when the bbs would graze me or in was questionable if it was a ricochet or not because it was such a fricken long walk back to respawn which to be honest sometimes I didn't walk the whole way.
It was pretty fun being at rex defending against the mass waves and pushing back but after I came back from lunch at about 2:30 after sim was nuked it was a mess. We attached limberg and were successful but them someone said there was an airstrike so everyone sprinted down the hill we just took and the enemy promptly retook it. As I waited for a tank for almost an hour that the commanding guy said was going to arrive in 5 minutes like 4 times so I just left. The night game was really fun compared to last year as rpk said.
In all it was better than last year but was pretty expensive so I think this will be my last fulda.
Fulda Gap 2013
Re: Fulda Gap 2013
I didn't attend this year, but in reference to you not wanting to walk alllll the way to respawn:
I have used the "Booger Tactical Respawn" for years at large events like Fulda. If it's going to take me 15 minutes to walk across the field to respawn, I will just walk 400-500 feet away from the action and sit down behind a tree for 15 minutes. I get to rest, I'm out of play for the same period of time, and nobody bothers me. Booger from the NCAO came up with the wonderful title for this concept.

There's no kill switch on awesome!
Re: Fulda Gap 2013
I loved how the Warsaw commander flipped out on me "Why are you in my AO!" "Uh, I'm trying to find a rocket we shot at you" "GET THE F*** OUT OF MY AO" I find the rocket, and I'm walking back out of play "I need eyes on this guy! he's a spy! Shoot him if he sticks around!" I go behind the mesh to watch
"Get OOOOOOUUUUUTTTTT OF HEEEERRREEEEE NOOOWWWW!" I loved it.

Re: Fulda Gap 2013
lol, spy? That's like when I was dead and filming at Alpha Fulda last year and the ref made me leave because I was "spying on them" (trying to get some footage of the great firefight).

I was filming too, but there was literally nothing being said other than "Move up" and "I'm gonna duct tape a flashlight to an rc car for the night game."
