PPN June5 and 6 D-Day/Big D memorial game
As a few people knew, Gambler and I went to this game in Eastern TN. We met up with 82d customer and rolled with 6MM. We had a great time. First let me say that these are some of the most friendliest people I have met and played with. "Good Ole Country boys" describes them best. It was also the most layed back game I have played in in a while. I didn't see any issues with hit calling, and shot a of ammo. We were the Germans, and unfortunately, we was not allowed to win, but that was ok. This game was designed as a memorial to the Greatest Generation ever.
We were tasked with holding Normandy beach, which we could have easily done, and did for over an hour. Even tho we were out numbered 2 to 1, they could not get up to take the bunkers. It was a great job by 82d directing the troops on the hill.
The next battle took place in the woods behind the beach, and once again, they couldn't take us out.
The last Battle was in the city. Many tried to enter, but very few could at first. Even when they had reinforcements, It was a big challenge to get in the City. We held them out for a long time, and when they came in, they didn't advance far. That game ended with us holding the town and denying the American forces the City.
After that, Gambler and I left. Something bout Gambler hurt his ankle, again(seems to be a recurring theme), plus the fact he had a 6 hr drive. I had a great time, lots of fun, played with some very friendly people, and kids. I know that 82d took some pics and he said he will post them up soon.
We planning another trip to TN to play in a 200 room 3 story Hospital. Here's the link for it if you want to check it out.

Re: PPN June5 and 6 D-Day/Big D memorial game
It was a great day of playing with old and new friends. I got to put a face with several names I have known for a year or more. This was my first time playing in TN and Diesel is right it was very laid back. I am not sure I heard a single argument the whole day. It was hot and I expected to here some arguing but apparently that is not an excuse to lose your cool up there. Thanks to Diesel for the bottled water to keep everyone hydrated, it was much appreciated.
We fortunately decided to be Germans and we just mowed down Americans left and right all day. The first scenario they could not advance at all. Every time they got anywhere near the top our boys took them out quickly. Diesel, Gambler and I had the middle bunker and BigMike, KG4CHM, BCarp, and WpnXer held down the left bunker. There was no hope for them to make it up that huge hill.
We were ordered to move up the hill and retreat. Once we started in this new spot it was another fatal funnel for the Americans. Gambler and I took turns raping them from the left flank. They never saw our bbs coming. Apparently it was the same story on the right flank with the 6mm Militia guys. They were cutting them down the whole time over there as well. We were then ordered to move further up the hill. Did I mention this hill went on forever? Instead of moving up the hill I decided to take my fat ass down hill to the city and we rested under a shade tree. After about 15 minutes we noticed a firefight going on between the city and the other side of a hedge row. I see two easy targets that had no idea we were there so it was time to lock and load. Then BigMike started taking people out with his DMR. He hands it to me to try out and I got my best kill of the whole day. With three guys dead and being sitting ducks a fourth medic decides to come over and help. I open up a burst from the dmr and the guys falls on his ass trying to get away from the bbs. Apparently it is hard to go in reverse back up hill when wide open. I asked everyone else if he was calling it and he didn't, so he got another burst to his open legs. He called it then. I love that gun now.
Then we moved into the city that had about 20 or more buildings in it and commenced to have the MOUT type fighting. There was a lot of close up action where we won some and lost some. We were only allowed two respawns at this time and I quickly lost two lives but turned it on for my last life. I was one of the last one's standing.
It was then time for the raffle and being an 82nd guy my ticket was 101 and although I am not big into numerology I get a little superstitious about 82 and 101. I thought I was cursed and tried to give my ticket away, but no one else would have one. I ended up winning a decent pig sticker. I can always use another knife.
We then go to a Japanese place and I lost my favorite underarmour piece. We make an uneventful trip back home and are ready for the next one. We will be going to that hospital some day, but ninnies need not apply. The fps is kind of high and the action will be close.
RIP Niji

Sounds like fun, and the hospital games look like they would be a blast aswell. That said, I'm not going to one of those without full face and multiple layers! 420ish max, and there wasn't any mention of a MED in the game thread, either...

The hospital game is not for wimps, so if you can't handle getting shot, maybe up close on full auto at 420ish, then don't go. You have been warned. I would recommend full face mask, extra layer and most importantly a CUP
.

Don't misunderstand me as a ninnie or afraid of getting shot, but showing up to a game like that in a T-shirt and goggles would not only be stupid, but incredibly unsafe.
So... when's the road trip?

That wasn't applied to you Stephen. It was a warning for those that might want to go. I know you would be prepared for it.

D, let me know when your hitting the hospital so I can plan cash in advance, my son and I both want to go.. the AK and SIG have been neglected and are itching for some cqb..
Re: PPN June5 and 6 D-Day/Big D memorial game
The D-Day game was fun....had a great time. Kinda sucked being restricted so much on where you could go but it didnt stop us from having a good time. Diesel it was great meeting you and Gambler although I think I have actually met Gambler before. Looking forward to the CQB hospital game as well. Hopefully we can work out a date to make that trip. Since Im not gonna be able to do the Redfox game this weekend I need to find a game to go to sometime later this month if anyone knows of anything.
Noticed one in Newberry later this month....may try to make it to that.

Re: PPN June5 and 6 D-Day/Big D memorial game
I had a good time at this game even though we were severely restricted on what we could do. It was great running with Mike and the rest of 6MM. It was almost unfair. lol
Diesel for the record my ankle was fine, it was my calf that cramped up.
Guess I was getting a little dehydrated. That hill Mike is talking about was huge and you had to walk up half of it just to get onto the field.
On a side note: I've never seen so many box mags on M4's and M16's.

You name a game, I've been to it.
If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.
If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.
