OP White Noise II - July 24th 2010
Despite sitting out for half a day, I had a blast at Silverado. I also got to meet a number of new faces.
I'd like to thank Ben for putting this game up, and kudos for both COs.
And as usual, summer weather in SC is brutal.

Yep, it reached 100 degrees while we were out there and being in the volvo didn't help a bit but i had fun and tried to ignore the heat and ended up having a blast in silverado. Tanker great job with the planning but the South Carolina summer weather was way to hot to be all over the field.

100 degrees sucks. Especially when you wear black...(thanks Tanker!!!
)
I had fun though. Silverado was my favorite part. Didn't see too much action during the actual scenario...After lunch I realized my reddot was WAY off...that probably didn't help me kill anybody

Had a great time yesterday
We didn't get much action as militia, though we held off Alpha for the better part of an hour right before lunch time. The silverado city games made up for any lack of action though, haha.
It was hot as balls...

yes, had a great time. Although i didn't get much action till the end, had a great time fooling around in silverado though. Cricket hunting, shooting eachother or fun, and cant forget Sams amazing shot to my hand which made me throw my pistol to the ground :P but still had a great day despite my lack of kills :D

Re: OP White Noise II - July 24th 2010
I'll second that. My brother and I left out of Silverado to the south following the boundary thinking we were gonna scout out any squads going wide. All I can say is that the red barrier tape gets really confusing on that side.IronChef wrote: it was HOT

The best description of the heat that I heard was "It's as hot as Satan's balls."

Awesome day! Probably lost like 5lbs of weight in just liquids. Few people got sick but other than that it was awesome. Including lunch when we were shooting apples and stuff at a riot sheild...being held by me...

Had a lot of fun yesterday..but as everyone said, it was extremely hot out there. Thanks to everyone who put this game on, and especially for those who brought the water to the HQ's. That was good planning, and I commend you on it. It was different running Alpha for a change, but it was fun. Had a blast shooting with people I normally shoot at. Great job everybody, loads of fun. See ya at the next one!
Re: OP White Noise II - July 24th 2010
Pretty brutal for the first AOSC game... As IronChef said, I was lost until about 12:30 (got taken out twice). Until then I had no idea were the Mile High was. Around 12:30 I have figured out my location with reference to the map and went ahead toward the Mile High, however, I was moving pretty slow. Could not locate any of the team members nor the enemy
Afterward I wondered into a little wooden fort after hearing some voices away in the woods... And then, finally, I have found some contact - some guys from AirCross. I was pretty scared since there were more than one of them, so I just took off from there. But then I ended up taking out 3 of them or so... And we all went to lunch...
BTW, pictures are coming hopefully in the next half-hour to an hour.
Thanks for great day of play!
Oh, did I mention that it was hot?!?!?!

As a "tank" crew member, I did almost no shooting yesterday... I certainly agree with it being hot.
From my point of few, the morning game was about as uneventful and stale as it could possibly be. This seemed to be due to the teams not really knowing where they were or what they were supposed to be doing. That having been said, whenever I saw an objective from the "tank", Garrett and his crew would show up on the exact spot within 3-5 minutes.
If we all pitch in, we can probably order a Weathomatic Freeze-a-tron from Russia for the next game. I can not stress enough how important it is to have some sort of hydration with you at all times. Multiple players became dehydrated enough that they vomited, and I found several on the way to lunch break who could barely walk (and had no water). Hydration packs are cheap, your life (and the medical bills) are not!
Best Kill of the Day Award goes to Soap for his Silverado run-around-the-building-with-a-Desert-Eagle-and-MP5 shot.

Had a lot of fun yesterday, met some new people and saw more of Red Fox than I ever wanted to.
The afternoon games were a lot of fun, but the morning was...well yeah. IMO the field was just too big for how many people showed up, which led to long walks for little combat.

Had a great day.. our loner squad got split up from goat and lost untill about 12:30 ish when we found mile high city.. Everyone split up when we captured a building so me and my brother sit in a building for about two hours in alpha spawn that was fun. Except it was like sitting in an oven. And i had filled my camelback with dawn.. Never doing that again. It can stay dirty for all i care!
