AirsoftCon 2010
AirsoftCon 2010
To all my fellow 3-1 and 3-2 battle buddies... "SHUUUUUT UP!!!!!!"
I had a blast running around in a 3 story prison with Jason, Geno, and a hodgepodge of 6MM Militia, Waxhaw, SWC, and TF16 members. If there's a sequel game next year, I'll definitely be attending.

Re: AirsoftCon 2010
Glad you were there. Enjoyed having you run with us! And thanks for being willing to be the medic Saturday
Re: AirsoftCon 2010
I'm not going to lie; the first hour of that second night game absolutely sucked. Being sent on suicide missions, healing 2 or 3 guys, getting shot in the face, and repeating the whole process three or four times just plain sucked. The rest of the game was awesome, though, and I found that being a medic who is not afraid to stick your head out makes you lots of friends very fast.

SHHUT UPPP I just woke up! Thanks for coming with us guys it was a blast and you guys were part of that. It is always a good time when you can get multiple teams from different states to work together and it work. Imagine how good we could be next year if we just practiced a little together and worked some things out?

AirsoftCon 2010
price--95.00
drive to game--forever!!!!
Roster:
SC
Steevols, Gambler and Diesel
NC
82d Customer, Rocky, Colin, Sgt Grumbles, Big Mike, Ping, Jun, Patches, Percy
Halo, and members of SWC. Don't know all their names.
Ohio
Matthew(Steevo's brother)
I left Thursday night and met Ping, Jun, and Steevo in Waxhaw, we then went to Statesville and met everybody else. Once we were loaded up and Percy was in the jeep with me, Big Mike, and Colin, I knew I was in for something different. Once we got there and all set up, I took a nap, and waited for supper.
Friday night game was a fast paced cluster, but a lot of fun. It was Fri. night that I seen a need for a PTW with some trigger work. That guy was pissing bbs on semi and had a tracer unit. It was cool to see, but painful to feel. I lasted bout 2 hrs. Old age and the fact that 1.5hr nap after being up 32 hrs just wasn't enough. So I left it to the younger ones and crashed, without seeing much more than a 1/4 of the prison.
I spent Sat doing classes (that were free) and learned some very good stuff. Of course I went shopping to.
Bout 6pm I started making sure I was ready by eating a very good meal. Thanks Gam!
The Sat night game started with a safety briefing, that seemed to last forever, but was needed. Bad thing is that, like most games, people did not listen. It was SLOW going at first and we questioned whether it was worth the trip. Once the game started, it stopped. Very aggravating..
We were tasked with breaching the prison, thru one door only. A whole platoon trying to go thru one door was very frustrating. There was a lot people that would stop in the door. Well they got pushed out the way. I am very proud that our squad did not stop. We kept pushing always. We did this 3 times. The third time, we had several that survived. We all stood along the hall while we were being healed. After we got healed, we just turned toward the wall so we could turn out our lights. It was a great move on 82d's part. Once in, we cleared the south cell block. It was done with teamwork.
After this, it was more of the same style missions. There was the kitchen, and the best part of all, the staircase. That by far was the most fun I have ever had. Even tho I got shot up a lot, and have the blood blister to prove it, it was awesome.
All in all, I had a great time and would go back.
Pro's
1. Great scenario--had to have certain things and role playing done before certain missions could be given out.
2. Awesome place to play--google WV State Penitentiary
3. Good classes
4. People I went with were truly great people and fun as all get out.
Con's
1. could have been managed better
2. staff didn't follow all the rules they set down.
3.stopping and starting of play.

Re: AirsoftCon 2010
I had a good time at this event as well. All of the NC guys were great to play with and get shot next to. When we were trying to get into that hallway I felt like the Stormtroopers at the beginning of Star Wars going through the single door and getting shot to hell. All we could do was try and try again. As Geno stated eventually we got enough inside alive to heal each other and make a counter attack. I do think this game could have been run much better. That staff wasn't exactly the friendliest. "SHUT UP!!!" The constant moving of spawn points also caused a bit of confusion when Diesel, Ping, and myself were about to overrun their spawn until we backed off. I took many close range shots to all parts of my body, except thankfully my head and nether regions, so I was pretty happy about that.
You name a game, I've been to it.
If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.
If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

Here's my pics - by the way, the CQC training we did was at 8 am, so we didn't really gear up... Percy came in his PJs even

Re: AirsoftCon 2010
Percy wore his PJs all day long... it's cool though. "Those people" can do that.
I'd have to say that to me, one of the high points of the weekend was seeing the looks on the faces of referees and dead green players as our 18 man train moved by in the darkness. I'm still amazed that we managed to move down 3 flights of stairs with no light whatsoever and have zero injuries.

I liked my 5 man safety kill with a stripped piston and no side arm.

Yep, all of the green squad outside the door was like WTF when we came out and didn't even shoot at any of us. Afterwards they were like that ain't right, as they got up and went to respawn.

Re: AirsoftCon 2010
I didn't call any safety kills during that first night game. Granted, I didn't know there was a 5' MED at the time either. Apologies to the throats and nether regions of the guys who got shot.

Here's a pic of the motley crew that went to WV. Gambler and Steevo are not in the pic. They left earlier than us.
