OP Black Thorn

I think I speak for the majority of the people who were in the game, when I say, it was possibly the worst game I have ever been to.

I had issues with people shooting the ones with dead rag on, not calling hits, and just those unhonorable things.
It was unremarkably a bad day, and I legitimately have no respect left to give to those "you-know-who".

You know it's a bad game if half the people just walk off the field in the middle.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. It could have been a lot worse. I had fun shooting people with you, Min. You want me to post a couple good pictures up here?

I knew when they started passing around the armband tape that we may be in trouble. I am not used to playing with armbands... I've only done it once before, and it did not go well, in my opinion.

I had fun during that flanking (or getting lost) mission. And yes, I agree, it could have been worse.

I asked if I should just post them here. I don't know if it would be worthy of a dedicated picture thread.

You might as well just upload it on Facebook then.

How was the field itself?  Was the terrain interesting?

Sorry you didn't enjoy the game others seem to have but can't please everyone. we had heard people don't like refs thought we wouldn't have them then no one would be honest and call their hits so next game we'll have refs. also the respond area is to go and touch the wall so you can go back out in the field not to gather and chat naturally if you gather you will get surrounded and get shot. Everyone should know this by now anyway we were just trying to have a good clean day of fun but like always there are a few bad apples in the basket and they ruin the whole bunch. as far as the arm bands how else were you to tell each team apart we didn't post about colors of uniforms and had to tell the different teams apart it was in no way to weigh one side against the other. In stead of getting mad and walking off the field you should have come to the owners and talked to us and maybe we could have gotten everything straightened out if you don't tell how can we fix it. Also for any of you that read this I as a mother only hope that your mother does not hear the fowl language that came out of some your mouths; you know who you are and you know that there were children and women out there the way I see it there was no respect on that part. Again as always you can't please everyone but think honestly did you do all the right things and are you not also to blame for the way the game was played or how it ended. Over half of the guys there came and thanked us for a great time wish it could have been that way for all of you. THIS IS ONLY A GAME NO MONEY TO BE WON! NO TROPHYS! JUST A WAY TO HAVE ALOT OF FUN DON'T TAKE IT SO SERIOUS IT'S JUST A GAME!!!!!

It was good until the second game.  The flanking with you guys was fun.  Some people need to know engagement rules also.  Sniper = 100ft. not 5ft.  Thanks for the game maybe the next will be better.

Even though I was not there, I feel I have to comment on this.
This is a new field. Remember the first time you played. I am sure there were a lot of "problems". With this being said, those that have negative things need to do a list of pro's and con's of the game. The only way a field gets better is with useful input. Just because you had a bad time doesn't mean others did, but your comments may help the field owners to make positive changes. A lot of people in SC are spoiled because of the games run by the AOSC and the SCAA, both of which have had their problems. I would like to see new fields in SC. The new fields need your constructive criticism, not your bashing.
Any other replies bashing any field or games will be removed. PLEASE keep it to a pro and con type of replies. This will be more helpful to the field owners and to those that run the games.
I have not read anything hear about how the games were and what kind of games they were.
Post Game chat is to talk about the game.

Ravenrecon, sorry I forgot to mention you, and I'd like to thank you for hosting this game!

Pros:
1. The field was a good size - not too big, not too small.
2. Sound effects - machine gun fire and such on a small stereo speaker
3. Pizza delivery

Cons:
1. There were many people who refused to call their hits - then bitched about us standing in re-spawn with dead rag on.
After being shot, this one guy clearly showed him and mentioned about his dead rag TIED on his gun, and the reply was, "I don't give a s__t."
This obviously is a huge problem if players are not willing to respect the rules and blatantly ignore them. Like they said, they "don't give a s__t."
2. Thorns...  :'(

I'd like to give my sincerest  apology if I came across like a jerk. I started the thread right after I got back from the game and being blinded by anger, I wasn't able to give an accurate feedback.

That being said, once again, I'd like to thank Ravenrecon for hosting this game. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time all throughout before lunch. Things quickly started going downhill after that point.

Ok first off, I must say thank you to Ravenrecon1 for going to the trouble of renting the field, getting the word out.  (Also, thanks for charging my battery!  That was a lifesaver :D) I honestly enjoyed the first part of the game.  Had fun trading fire with everyone and a good time was had by all even though we didn't take the day.  Also, Team RavenRecon were exemplary in their demonstration of good sportsmanship and attitude.
After lunch is when the good times stopped.  1) RavenRecon1, this was really not your fault at all, but refs really are a necessity (refs are like speed limits and cops...we may not like em, but we need em) to prevent or at least reduce the recklessness and irresponsibility of certain members of a certain team.  2) Regarding the poor sportsmanship, a certain level of this is acceptable and expected because no one is perfect and there will always be one or two individuals who will try to exploit the honesty rules that make airsoft work.  That being said this circumstance differed in that it was not isolated and a couple sporadic instances, we can all overlook that, but was a consistent pattern of blatant disregard for the rules.  Lets face it, refusal to call even the most obvious hits and disregard for minimum engagement distances are just poor form and in the latter case just unsafe.  Furthermore, when people are clearly demonstrating that they are out of play, whether by elevating their weapons and/or obvious dead rags.  NOBODY deliberately shoots dead players ANYWHERE, regardless of where they until they demonstrate that they are back in play. THAT we all should know.  Obviously, refereeing the game would have mitigated it, however as the old adage goes hindsight is 20/20.
3) Regarding the those individuals whose actions have been called into question.  I am more than willing to believe that this was just a exception rather than normal behavior and will gladly amend my views accordingly, but currently I and many would agree with me in a very low estimation of their actions.

Anyhow, I agree with Vesper on the thorns :P  Also, I am willing to admit that my personal attitude was not very good.  Saying "Hey Retard! are you color blind? Can't you see this Red flag?" was probably the worst possible way of responding.  After all it takes two to tango.

It does take two to tango, but it only takes one to start the dance.

Thanks for the game RavenRecon1 I appreciate it.
Now here is my 2 cents
Pros:
the radio was a nice touch
pizza was good thanks for the delivery
the field was nice medium size
good job with the bunkers.
only 15 bucks

Cons:
thorns
no clear boundaries
alot of unsportsman like conduct
people not calling their hits (feels like to me that the entire blue team would not call their hits)
no chrono
no refs (not your fault ravenrecon but I feel like that enabled people to not call their hits)
Armbands (never work)
big safety issue with people shooting others WITH dead rags on
big issue with being shot way to close
unclear safety rules

again thanks ravenrecon1 for the game
