This was a great day of skirmishes. It was simple game plans, great weather, and good players. Yes, before and person complains, it was not AOSC reps fault for late start, but when they adapted by starting in-process and chrono, was a great way to keep it moving. (Yes, Moose is a good person to listen too.)
Good:
1: K.I.S.S. worked perfectly. Keep it up!
2: Adapting to the late start!
3: Players played their game! And it was a push for both sides.
Needs improvement:
1: Mags in weapon systems in safe zone. Really! Many just care nothing for the rules or the safety of the other players!
2: Firing in the safe zones! Same as above and when was chastised by another player, it was shrugged off after a few moments.
3: Game host needs to be in admin role. During the second game, I attempted to contact admin on channel 1 to notify if paintballers making way though our game. Un able to contact because admin was engaging, as an Alpha player, Bravo players. If admin wants to play, someone need to be appointed to watch for the safety of others.
I, and my guys had a blast! Keep up the good and try to work on what needs to be improved.

I can 100% agree that this needs to still be addressed. Young players parked beside us decided to shoot a metal sign in the parking lot near us, and were none too happy when we called them on it.
Same group of individuals thought it funny to shoot their friend a few moments later without eye-pro on as well. I don't have to illustrate the potential ramifications of this degree of negligence.
All in all it was a good day. Bravo flat steamrolled us for the greater part of the morning, well done. The afternoon games Alpha got a win or two, but more importantly the games were simple and objectives relatively challenging.
I didn't see a single problem with hit calling all afternoon. Those I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt I hit all called it admirably. One of the better days overall for player integrity.
Buddy of mine got the "winner" Easter egg and got $20 from Marauder as a prize. I just got a handful of points from the ones I scavenged...
Sad that PBC made the afternoon so difficult, from the late start to paintball players taking over the field, kudos to the admin staff for trying to make adjustments. Events today seemed simply out of their control.
I saw a lot of familiar faces and met many more. Player base today was all-in-all great fun. First time out to PBC and overall not as impressed with this field as many of the other ones I've been to, but still a fun day.
Glad I came out.
One quick addition... was anyone able to confirm that the gentlemen at the edge of the field was not firing a real-steel firearm near the field of play? We can clearly hear it on camera, with my brother being around 30-40yds from him (couldn't see what it was). Not looking to start a panic or anything of the sort, but obviously would need to be addressed if the concern pans out.

I believe the shooting was on the property adjacent to the PBC field on the other side of the tracks and train on the far end of the field we used during the second game. After hearing the shots I went down to that end of the field I heard the shots coming from and I could not see any one around besides some alpha players respawning. The field owner also sent an employee in a truck along that far end of the property and did not see anyone on their property shooting real steel.

Pros: 1. AOSC did a great job putting on a good game. Props to Dom, Marauder, and Hoss. Skirmishes were short and fun. Everything that was in AOSC's control went smoothely.
2. Constant action. You can attribute that to the fields being "paintball" size.
3. Best hit calling I've seen to date. I had not even one issue with players being dishonest about calling hits.
4. Fending off bravo's onslaught was a fun challenge.
5. I found the winning Easter egg.
Cons (longer because like always I feel a need to explain):
1. The PBC management showed up hours late to unlock the front gate. We had cars backed out the entry road all the way to the main road. The PBC people didn't show up until about 9:30, at which point they had put us way behind and cost us valuable playing time. I am assuming that they knew about the AOSC game schedule too.
2. Young paintballers running through the middle of our playing field. Don't know what that was about but I feel it needs to be addressed.
3. The fields are not designed well for larger airsoft skirmishes. Bases are within line of sight, and are almost within shot range, and tactical movement is limited to the funneled outskirts of the fields, which are still right next to the field's center anyways. For paintball or small airsofting groups, I think these fields would be great. With our large group, it came down to who could afford to send more bb's downrange, since the fields' designs created frequent stalemates. You can also tell these fields were designed with team elimination matches in mind. Respawns brought about the issue of spawn camping and endless stalemates.
4. My one gripe with the AOSC. The chrono is fudged up, or someone got the wrong bb's for the chrono station. My group and some other people in line at chrono registered way below what they knew their gun shoots. My guys clocked at 40-50 fps below normal, and another random guy with an m60 clocked at 300 fps with 0.25 and recieved a 0 med tag, and he told me he knew his gun shoots roughly 400 fps with a 0.25. I'm sure this led to some extra welts and bleeders, I have a few to attest to that. Not to mention one shot I took that hit so hard it rocked my helmet back. Strangely enough, my 0 med gun was clocking anywhere between 297 and 430+ fps on the chrono that morning. Think some 0.12's might have gotten mixed in?
5. Players lack of knowledge or obedience to bleedout rules. Even I had to be set straight on some finer details.
6. Having a shooting range at the edge of the playing field. Ultimately unsafe.
I am considering making this my last game at PBC. I felt the PBC management was unwilling to work with us, from being crazy late and then letting paintballers walk into our games. Then there was the shooter at the edge of our field, who was within airsoft bb range. What would have happened if there was a richochet, an accidental discharge in our direction, or if an airsofter mistook him for an opposing player?
I had a great time playing, but think I will save my future upstate airsofting events for larger, friendlier, and better managed fields like Redfox, over the tactical speedball fields of PBC where they couldn't care less about the event schedule.

Very good day of play! I am in total agreement with the previous posts. Though the day started off late, the games got going quickly. Good game play with short mission oriented games and GREAT play by both sides. I had no issues with hit calling and the only one I thought was questionable turned out to be my mistake, hats off to the Green player in the back corner of the woods, you played great. I apologize for assuming otherwise, my stupidity. Also to the young guy in the town game who "one shot" me in the goggle with his sniper rifle.......DUDE THAT IS STILL A GREAT SHOT!!!!!! Well done everyone. Also good job Admin. well done. Good game design and diversity.
Only consideration I have is about late arrivals. If repeat offenders show up, come out identify them turn around and make them wait. However a father and his young son, not so sure? We have an association that has great potential and is already building a good player base, would hate to see even more potential members get turned off because of assumption. I KNOW, I KNOW the times were posted. However, sometimes situations keep folks from being able to arrive on time or stay through the duration of the day. If they are not repeat offenders it would be a shame for them to be turned off by being treated with indifference. Just food for thought, consider it or not, I will still be on time.
Pros:
1. Good game design
2. Good day management (especially with the late start)
3. Good sportsmanship (Well done guys and gals)
Cons:
1. Radio civility by admin. (Not everyone uses colorful adjectives, be considerate on the broadcasts)
2. Safe zone firing (I don't know what you can do, maybe have a third admin quietly patrol the parking area ninja style and upon identifying those doing it ask them to leave until they believe and accept the rule.)
3. Field security (PBC may not be a good choice if there are always going to be random paintballers crossing through fields we are playing in.)
Over all, there have been many good games that I have played in with the AOSC, but this day seemed to be one of the over all best yet. Thanks to the Admin. and to my fellow players.

No, those were .25s I filled everyone's mags with and one of the chronos was messing up.

All the cons stated above are ones that I agree with along with the pros. One that should be greatly stressed is the matter of parking lot safety. As stated by others people were firing in the parking lot not even in safe directions, I heard multiple bb's bouncing off cars. I know there was a rule about this created awhile ago but I don't think its really been enforced since its creation (if even then).
Pros:
Bravo knows how to get it done
No friendly fire considering I was switching teams every game it seemed
Pretty good time management considering the factors with the owner
Team numbers were close to balanced
Hit calling was EXCELLENT!!
Cons:
PARKING LOT SAFETY (it's not that hard abide by the rules set to achieve this)
Owners seeming hate to airsoft (not an AOSC problem obviously)
Alphas teamwork (half the team seemed to want to cling to the spawn. This is probably due to the large volume of new players)
Map setup (again not an AOSC problem)
Overall it was a great day to be airsofting. Met some people, talked to people I already knew and had a great time doing it all!
Again props to all the reps and Hoss for being able to step up when Marauder had to leave!

Green helmet guy? That may have been either I or my teammate. Not really sure of the specific event you are referring to, may have been my teammate or could have been that you hit me/him and we just didn't realize it, or a common case of thinking bb's are hitting target when they are not. Either way good game. I remember trying to take you on or it may have been Ghost, I can't tell at distance, and ultimately losing that battle. As for the second loud "hit" yell I gave, I wasn't really pissed or anything, it's just a habit I've learned to help prevent any further accidental overshooting (the shots I was taking weren't hurting so no biggie).

Long balling, though canopy, is hard to do. Hell, during the first engagement, when bravo was securing the item in the castle, I tried to snap shot right pass the door and popped my self with a direct ricochet. After a quick curse, and a medic moment, I was back in the game again.

Several people have stated that there was some firing and mags in in the parking lot. In the area I was in, I reminded a couple people, but for the most part didn't have issues with it. There were people firing at the net on the OTHER side of the chrono station, away from players, which was fine. I've said it before, and apparently it bears repeating. If people were firing in the parking lot, and walking around with mags in in the parking lot, accusing anonymous persons in the
After Action Review doesn't do anyone any good. Why didn't you say anything to the offenders and/or a Rep? If you did, kudos. If you thought to yourself "what is wrong with them, I'm going to complain about this on the forums later!", then you weren't doing yourself or anyone else any good. When you confront the problem THEN and THERE it
can and
will be addressed, when you say something here about
someone,
somewhere doing
something, we can't go back in time and fix it. However,
YOU can help us fix it
NEXT TIME, by directly confronting the offenders, or finding the nearest Rep to do it instead. That is the
ONLY solution for this problem: players encouraging other players to be responsible
in person.
The two major issues, as stated, was the gate being opened very late by the staff, and the group of PBers that wandered right through our area. Both Marauder and I had a very frank conversation with the General Manager of the field. He apologized for both issues and assured us that it would never happen again and that he did appreciate our business very much and wants us to come back, and have a better time the next go 'round.
In the morning Alpha stunk it up, we got overrun in the castle, then couldn't get into the castle. Later we fought hard for the laptop, and barely won the game at the last minute. Marauder picked the PERFECT place for the laptop, it was a bitter, difficult fight for both sides right up until the end. Later on we didn't do so well defending the back building on the "town" like field. We pushed hard to get it in the next time, and almost succeeded. The last games along the bridge were great and hard fought too, but alas we lost them both.

I'm not sure why you'd ask for a medic after that...
