Lipo batteries and their charging

Post by theboss62 » Fri Dec 03, 2010 4:09 pm

okay so I have a 7.4v and 11.1v lipo batteries. I have porte charger for them, but my question is when they are charger, the volt on them goes past 7.4v and 11.1v, is this suppossed to happen or is my charger messed up.

A fully charged 11.1v lipo will actually read around 12.5; accordingly, my 7.4v lipos tend to get to 8.5-9.0v. As long as you're using a balance charger and nothing is exploding, don't worry about it.
