So, you plug in the battery, touch nothing, and it warms up and blows the fuse? It is definitely a short somewhere then. Do not keep messing with it; find the short and repair it, or have someone do it for you. When did the tappet plate fail? After you fired a several rounds after reclosing it, or right after you reclosed it and tried to fire?
