Lately I have been reading up on DMR mods and I came across one that said if you were using an AB MOSFET you would not need to use an anti-reversal latch. Does anyone know if this is true?
Also I am planning on getting an 11.1 lipo for my DMR but have no idea what discharge rate to get. I plan on getting one with about 3000mAh.
Setup:
Systema M150 spring
G&G Standard 18:1 Gear Set
Lonex A2 High Torque Motor
Cheetah 2N MOSFET
Thanks,
Mad

Re: DMR Mod
It's not true. You always need your ARL.
Get one with 20c or higher.
Gears should be ok, but I might replace them, I wouldn't put them on anything hotter than an M150.

Re: DMR Mod
Just to clarify about the AB MOSFET. It puts a reverse current on the motor at the end of the cycle, "completing the cycle". Now people started to take that as not needing an AR latch, because it will complete the cycle of the trigger pull. This is not true. It returns the gears to the same spot everytime and prevents over spin, this does not mean you can tap the trigger on a slow RPM gun and expect it to wind your gears completely.
Keep your AR latch in

Re: DMR Mod
Ok, thanks for the input Star and Stomper. I thought it looked a little odd so I decided to ask before doing it. Which ended up being a good decision.
