Sorry for such a late reply, been busy all week until yesterday when I actually got to re-adjust the motor and tested it as Star Suggested. The motor is fine, but the fuses blow when I pull the trigger still. I'm not sure how to open up the gearbox so I'll just have it sitting around until I get the money to fix it but there definitely is a short somewhere.
