My SRC motor is loud like that too, you can hear the dang thing from a mile away. I don't think it's related to to anything else in the gun.
I do not always accidentally, but when I do, I accidentally the whole thing.

Considering that my SRC motors are not terribly loud, I'd blame it on worn brushes, bad shimming, or incorrect motor mounting.

I know this comment is not helpful to the original poster, but I actually like LOUD guns. To me, quiet guns are just so un-milsim. The only thing I think is better about paintball guns is that they make a nice, loud pop.

I understand part of that argument, but you'd want to noise to come from the piston and projectile, not from the motor and gears. Its generally a bad sign if the gearbox is making alot of noise
