Yes, I think that's 38. And, is that really only half a second? Does that mean your rate of fire is 76?!?

yup. 76rps

ok no wonder i'm having such a hard time getting the gun to work lol

so my goal is to drop a ESC on it that way i can adjust the speed electronicly Dom rather than by a big lever on a rehostat

If you want a really rapid fire gun go on xcaliberairsoft and crap out $1125 and get a strafer. It shoots 175ish rps I don't know the fps but I do know it holds 7000 bb's in a non wind up tank kind of thing. It's gas powered too. You would need a drop pouch for the gas canister.

thats probably just the flamethrower design. there are a couple options for that. I prefer having a scar in my hands though :)

I would prefer to build it for a few hundred instead.

Nice work Luke, the force is strong in you. Now you just need to make it feed fast enough.

haha. not to bail on the build or anything, but 76 is WAY more than I was aiming for. Its a nice thing to say i've accomplished that, but, for a gun that I'd like to play games with every weekend.... it takes more effort to keep running than its worth.

I'm now considering what my options are to get it down to 35 ish

You could probably just switch out the the sector gear for a standard gear and get that.

I never said otherwise :P

I'll play with my DMRs anytime over a high ROF gun. You just need to switch it up every once in a while. And also, since I'm such a tech, building it was most of the fun

I guess it's about time I did one again then, I've been putting it off for too long. I painted the receiver a bit ago, and a good while back I actually bought the body I wanted for it and everything (though I've since changed my mind). It's just that when I do work on guns I kinda have to work on the ones lined up, so I rarely work on my own anymore. I'm going to try to catch up over the next month so I can do some builds I've been wanting to do.

Dom if you have any interest in this gearset I'll trade it to you for a more standard high speed one. I figure a short stroked piston with a 14.00ish ratio gearset with a 11.1v and a devil jet motor will be plenty fast enough for an everyday use gun
