Battery performance question

was playing today, using an 8.4 most the day. switched to a 9.6v and my ROF dropped signifcantly. now the 9.6 had very little charge left. and the 9.6 increased my range over the 8.4 drastically. i was shooting level with the 9.6 further than the 8.4 took to hit the ground. i thought increasing the voltage increased the ROF, not your range. and does the increase in rnage indicate an icrease in velocity? both batteries were NiMH as well.

no, the battery does not in any way effect range, velocity. The battery spins the motor that spins the gears and compresses the spring. It has no effect on the pneumatics of the gun, that's all spring & airseal.

...and as for the ROF drop, what was the mah on the two batteries?

1400. the 9.6 was nearly dead, and after charging the rate of fire was normal. Im still puzzled on the range increase tho. could just have been a fluke i suppose

Possible explanation, did the gun have a zero port or BO cylinder and a short or medium length barrel? (or a solid piston head)?

It's probably been fixed sometime in the last, I don't know, 6 months.

I'm hypothesizing the FPS increase phenomenon
.
