EdGI Barrels

Hello all,

I have a KWA M4 RIS (2nd Gen), and I have noticed my stock KWA barrel has a couple shards of metal hanging down around where the hopup bucking protrudes into the
barrel. I have shot into a pillow and inspected my BBs, and a couple of them come out scratched. I see this as an opportunity to replace the barrel with a better one.

The KWA barrel is 395mm long, and this length matches up perfectly with the flash hider I currently use. The only 395mm long barrels I have seen have been....

The EdGi 6.01mm and 6.03mm tightbore barrels sound like a good buy. But I was wondering who here has used them and whether or not you recommend them.
What is the build material of these barrels? They look brass to me, but does any one know for sure?

Thanks for reading,

-Scott

I haven't used the EDGI barrels yet, but after watching some vids and with stock KWA 2GX 6.05 barrels I say go with the 6.01 as you won't see a big difference between 6.05 and 6.03s.

I am planning on getting a 395 6.01 for my G36 when I finally change it over the the K length front end.

Have you been able to find any of the 395mm Edgi TBB's in stock anywhere?  ASGI and KWA still don't have any  :'(

There are a few but there always out of stock. You'd be better off buying a new hop up chamber and a new outer barrel. Otherwise you either have to get lucky and find the right barrel or pay $150 for a custom made 6.01 tbb. You might be able to get a 407mm barrel and cut it...

Just bear in mind that if you want to use a barrel less than 6.03mm you will need to use very high quality BBs and keep it clean to avoid jams.

Yeah, I clean all my barrels usually right after I use my gun for best results. I also use G&G and KSC BBs. I might just try out a 6.01mm and see if I like it.
