Wut am bestest 8.4v high output battery cell?

I'm planning on putting together an 8.4v, high output battery pack for my Thompson since the wood stock's battery cavity is not really large enough to fit my 9.6v brick. I know some of you have ordered custom batteries before; do you have a preference when it comes to what brand of cell you buy?
