Air Nozzle

I have ordered a new air nozzle that has the o-ring seal. My question is do I lube it when installing it or not? If so, would I use piston grease or spray lube (both are silicon based)?

As with all compression parts (piston head, cylinder head, etc.), lube it with silicon to maintain a good air seal. Only parts that are under high friction should have teflon/lithium/moly or any other form of higher viscosity lubrication.

Me-I would always lithium grease gears, piston channels, piston head, cylinder, nozzle in little amounts. I use silicone for the inner barrel when cleaning it. I get better seal with lithium grease in the piston head/cylinder/nozzle. Silicone in these parts does not always fill all spaces b/c it has thin viscosity.
lithium=more FPS less ROF; consistent FPS
silicone=ROF less FPS; FPS fluctuates

What? This is also demonstrably false...
Whiskey tango foxtrot, over.

have you tried it? I have. If you don't know now you know.

Have you proved your hypothesis through extensive experimentation, or just tried it once? Your hypothesis makes no sense. FPS always fluctuates, and the amount does not depend on the kind of lubricant you use. It can't be perfectly consistent, and using lithium lubricant will not increase your velocity's precision.
Why argue with a professional tech?
And sorry for sounding so scientific. Haha. I've been doing too many chemistry labs.

ok I exaggerated just a bit with the fluctuations. I don't think you know me and I never said anything about Dom being wrong. That's why I spoke in first person so I don't offend or get on anyone's emotions, in other words, my post are there for reference not for arguments.

I'm not offended, airsoft isn't personal

. But, by saying your statement is demonstrably false, I meant precisely that. I
have tried it, and I know from extensive experience that simply isn't the case. We don't want information for "reference" that is incorrect.
