Admittedly, these are in England but shipping is only 4 or 5 pounds. It balances out to $45 per lipo, but anybody who has seen an AEP's crisp trigger response and great RoF on a lipo will probably be okay with that price.

I would recommend this to anyone that has an AEP.  Steevo made me one and the difference between the lipo and the stock batteries is amazing.  This is almost a must have for any AEP.

... and no, it won't kill the gearbox.

now would it be cheaper to have you make one or buy one?

it looks like it uses Tamiya connectors...how is that different from the firefly 7.4V batteries that you've been able to get online for a while?

That is most definitely not a Tamiya connector. Check out the width of the connector compared to the wires. There is a large difference in the overall mass of that connector.

Could you post a link to the Firefly LiPos? I've never seen them, and thinking about breaking into the AEP market.

I still say it looks like a small-type Tamiya connector.  Compare with this picture of a 11.1 V firefly battery (I own two of these) with a small type connector:



EDIT:  OK, since AEP pistols don't use small-type connectors, this AEP battery can't be using them.  I still maintain that, since I've never owned an AEP other than an MP7 (which uses a different connector entirely), they look remarkably similar.

I also take back what I said about the 7.4 V firefly lipos.  

7.4 V lipos with 900 mAh DO EXIST and have for a while (I have several, bought on ebay), but they are not firefly...they are Tenergy.  However, they usually do not have small type connectors or whatever connectors AEPs use.  The size of the lipos I'm refering to are slimmer and shorter than the MP7 AEP batteries, which I believe are nearly the same size as the pistol AEP batteries.  

These little guys are small and powerful, but they have the wrong connectors.  I bought 3 thinking that I could have Adrian re-wire them to deans for me so I could keep them in my back pocket as low-voltage backup batteries that would fit in and power ANY GUN (whether it was an AR, G3, MP7, MP5, or AK...these batteries will fit anywhere except in a stick-type).

It uses the same connector as a stock AEP battery.  The other connector is to charge the lipo.

If all you need to do is swap them to deans, I can do that in 5 minutes.

Misc. brand 900mah 7.4v lipos: They are significantly thicker than AEP batteries. They are the batteries I'm using for the AEPs, but I have to split them in half and rewire them in order for them to fit in an AEP. This works, but they are very fragile because of this and must be handled with care.

The 500mah cells that Eagle is using are smaller, and fit in the battery compartment with no issues whatsoever.

To be clear, all the connectors mentioned on this page (small tamiyas, deans, minideans, and the very small tamiya like connector on the lipos shown) ARE NOT compatible with AEPs. AEPs use an essentially proprietary connector, you have to rip one off of the stock battery and solder it onto any lipo you buy. There is no such thing as an AEP lipo that comes with the right connector already installed with the exception of this model.

It is a typo. If you look at the cells in the picture, each one is 3.7v.

Exactly. So if you want a 900mah, do some soldering, or have someone do it
