My AEG is completely dead.

My M4 just stopped firing for some reason.
I can assure that it's not a mechanical problem; the gun isn't even making a slight noise when I pull the trigger. I tried 3 different motors and 2 different batteries, but the result is still silent. The trigger contact is in a perfect condition, and there is no apparent shortage in wires.
Does anybody have an idea what in the world is wrong with my baby?

You have a multimeter?

If it is a G&G I have the same problem. My m4 only works on one of my batteries. I can hook up anything else but it will only work with the one battery.

His is a highly upgraded G&G though. Right, Vesper?

I don't think there is much of anything G&G inside the gearbox anymore, pretty sure it's mostly Systema.

Min, could the MOSFET have fried/short-circuited/something else bad?

I think the likelihood of bad MOSFET wiring is very slim. I replaced one only a few weeks ago.
Before I took it apart, it worked perfectly fine, but then when I put it back together, after changing the spring, it crapped out on me.

And just to clarify, the only stock internal part left in that gear box is:
Gearbox shell
Bushings
Spur gear
Pinion gear
Anti-reversal latch
Tappat plate

well it definitely sounds like an electrical issue of some kind. a mechanical jam would give at least soem sign of trying to pull the spring. maybe you broke a solder connection when you took it apart, and it took this long to completely lose contact? strip a wire and its making contact with the gearbox? battery connectors fried? could be about anything. but getting the multimeter and checking over the contacts is ag ood place to start.

I'm planning to swap out the entire electrical parts and see what happens.

sounds like a plan. keep us all updated, especially those of us with G&Gs ourselves. Everytime this happens it makes me nervous for my gun as well

I can't guarantee the statistical validity, but if I were you, I wouldn't even worry about your gun. You have to keep in mind that most of the parts in my M4 are aftermarket. If I were to blame anybody, I'd blame myself, not G&G.

For the record, the electrical stuff in Min's M4 has been cursed since day 1.
