Hey everyone! I have a JG M16. I removed the hop-up from the barrel and when I put them back together, it double fired, meaning two bbs came out when I pulled the trigger. Should I buy a new hop-up or would a new hop-up bucking do the job?

You *may* have torn your hopup bucking. Did you use any sort of lubricant when you put it back together? Have you only fired the gun once, or is it repeatedly double-feeding?

Unless you broke the actual unit (which is unlikely), a new bucking should fix it. Don't buy anything until you've confirmed that the bucking you have is installed correctly and is/isn't ripped.

Yeah I put it back together correctly...it might be torn,but I don't know. The hop-up unit seems to be fine.

I'm using .20s. I shot fine till I took it apart...

When you reinstalled the chamber and barrel, you did not properly align them with the GB and thus the airnozzle has a little bit of extra space between it and the bucking lip, causing a consistent double feed. 80% chance that's it, otherwise you may have broken it or misplaced it some other way, like misaligning the bucking, chamber, and/or barrel in some manner.

I'm a noob...how do I correctly allign them? They seem to be in the right place.

Dom is the expert here, but you could start by making sure the small spring is still on the front of the hopup unit; it ensures that it pushes back against the air nozzle.

It is actually a very simple, yet very common error. And yes it very easily can cause double feeding.

Yep, missing that spring causes that "little bit of extra space" I was talking about. That's the problem.
