Feeding issues?

Hey guys,

I picked up a JG S-System 2010 for resale and was going through my inspection process. I noticed bb fragments in the barrel extension which prompted me to break it down for a closer look.

I found no fragments around the nozzel, in the hopup chamber, bucking or barrel. Cleaned everything anyway. It was gunked with factory grease. Put it back together and put some rounds through it (KSC's).

Noticed slight feeding issues and thought the mag I was using could possibly be the cause. Tried another known good mag. Same issue. Again, BB fragments at the end of the barrel. Broke it down again but this time noticed this on the nozzle. One side of it has this scaring which you can see in the chamber mouth as well.

Anyone care to speculate on what caused this and what I need to do to fix it?

Thanks!

The outer barrel extension/suppressor is slightly crooked (or the inner barrel is) and the BBs are hitting it sometimes before they exit. Some don't come out, so it looks like a feeding issue when it's not, and some shatter on impact leaving the fragments. Shim the threads on the side it is crooked, or install a spacer if it is the inner barrel that is crooked.

Though it shows signs of normal wear, there does not appear to be anything wrong with the airnozzle or hopup chamber. Scarring is not a problem and is simply due to the variation in hardness of the materials and the fact that they are a tight fit.

Thanks for the reply Dom. I'll check those things and the other things you mentioned in chat. I'll report back.

Removed the barrel extension (which this particular one was fugly on a M4 anyway) and fired two clips single and auto with no problems. Put the stock flash hider on there and repeated. No issues.

Thanks again!
