M249 lower RIS rail attachement

OK, I know that not many own M249s, and even fewer actually do any external work to them, but I have an M249 with the CA lower RIS mount.
However, one of the attachments is bent, so the mount will not stay attached when any real amount of force is applied. Since I use a grip pod, this is a problem. Does anybody have any idea of how I might get this attachment to stay attached to the gun? Do you know a place where they sell the real steel attachment points for this part for the M249 (I'm going to assume that the CA one is a 1:1 scale replica...at $110, it better be!)?
Any other ideas? My last resort would be to purchase one of the Chinese mounts that cost about $50, but I would like to avoid that kind of cost on a rental gun.

Alright, I finally caved and just got the G&P M249 lower RAS. I have to say, being able to hold each side by side, I am disappointed in CA.
The rails are of the same heft and build quality (I cannot speak to the materials, of course, but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in airsoft), and the attachment the G&P rail uses is a MUCH better idea, with more screws to secure and a larger area of the rail in contact with the gun to attach the RAS. It even comes with two rail covers and a VGP (both plastic, but effective). All this for $30 less ($78 vs. $110). I highly recommend it.
On a different note, barrel on my M249 is "popping" forward with just the slightest touch to the release. Just carrying the gun around is enough to set it off. Is this a common issue? Did I put the barrel back on incorrectly?

it really has to be set in the right place to lock in correctly...this will also cause you to loose your nub a LOT.
things also u may want to considering getting for the saw, is replacement switches for the trigger.

actually, the corners on the carry handle that the barrel locks onto is very worn down, to the point that the corners holding the barrel in place are rounded...I think I've found my problem
Only thing to do is to get a new carry handle, as it's one solid piece and I can't very well "unsand" metal...[sigh]
EDIT: WHOOPS, close call, the carry handle is NOT the part that the barrel catch locks onto...nearly wasted my money.

OK,
SECOND EDIT:
I've fixed the issue by applying a layer of electrical tape, in the same way you fix loose mags
All these "features" of the M249 just mean that there are that many things that can go wrong in the airsoft version!
Tomorrow my new hopup bucking comes for this beast...we'll see how THAT goes!
