Elaborate a little; have you torn it down yet, or do you just know your gun isn't shooting right?

We have had the GB opened and had to replace the trigger switch and put a new set of gears in. It is shooting about 100 fps lower then what it was. I have a 110 spring in there and it is shooting 258.

Open it again, and inspect the air nozzle, cylinder head, and piston head. Odds are one of those is the culprit. Does your hopup seem to function properly?

Don't forget your piston o-ring

Well we opened the GB I dont think it was the compression the gears moved and rubbed my piston too much and caused my piston to break. We are thinking the gear being messed up caused the problem.

There are many possibilities and it needs to be broken down and looked over piece by piece by an experienced tech to find out where exactly the failing is. Though, it is possible that you got a bad chrono reading too.

Does it hurt now? Good.

If the chrono is bad, an empty soda can is a good place to start. Shoot perpendicular through the side. If it's shooting as low as you say, it won't go through both sides. Be sure to use a .2g.
If it's not the chrono, check all of your bore components. This includes your piston/piston head, cylinder/cylinder head, nozzle, tappet plate, sector gear chip, and hopup. As previously stated, don't open it up if you don't know what you're doing. You'll only end up pissing off a normally polite technician when you bring them a bag of parts.
If you're unsure of what faults to look for in each part, go ahead and say so. Me or some other tech will surely give you what you need to know.

Be sure to use a namebrand Coca-Cola product can. Different manufacturers' cans are not all made to the same specs, and therefore are not necessarily a good approximation of your FPS.

FYI Steevo and Dom,
This is the SAW that I have been talking to you guys about. I've checked the O-rings, Cylinder head, and air nozzle and I see nothing wrong with them. No deformities, no cracks, nothing that looks out of the ordinary. Now we did strip a piston this past weekend, but apparently that has nothing to do with the low FPS problem present before the stripping. Our chrono is brand new (just got it last week), so I'm not sure if it's gone bad already.
And if anyone is using the Poor man's chrono, you need to take off at least 15 FPS based on the original poor man's chrono averages as coke cans have been changed a bit and are not as thick as they were when the PMC first started being used.

Well then, it sounds like a tech needs to give it a look.

use your other guns on the chrono to see if it is reading correctly

the chrono is fine it has all the other guns at the right FPS, we think we found the problem just waiting for the part to come in to fix it.
