CYMA Thompson M1A1 feeding problems...

So recently at Op: Phantom Hawk my M1A1 preformed admirably until it started to have a feeding problem. I would hold down the trigger on full auto but only on every 2nd or 3rd shot would a bb actually be fired. Now idk if this is a problem with the clip or the gun itself. If anyone has any thoughts i would be happy to listen!

Try taking the hopup all the way off, or take out the barrel and hopup unit and inspecting it for a torn bucking.

You could always swab the barrel with a cleaning rod, silicone oil, and pieces of an old t-shirt.

What kind of mag, and did you try a different one? Turn the hopup off, clean it properly, and try with different mags. When it does shoot, do they drop out or fly normally?

Yeah when it shoots they fly out normally, and the clip that i have is the high cap mag that came with the gun. I've been meaning to get an extra mag or two i just havent had the funds. I thought that since I've used this mag so much that it may just be getting worn out

Not yet just posted this tonight  ;D. And with all the snow and such i haven't been able to go out side after adjusting the hop up and such to test it.

When you wind the magazine with BBs and hit the release tab at the top, do the BBs come flying out or do they get stuck in the mag?

normally they stay in the mag, with the exception of the one being fed into the gun which just falls out when i remove the mag.

No, Esteban is asking if they shoot out when you pull the release tab on the magazine itself. It's a little tab right by the feed lip.

The mag isn't the problem in that case. Go ahead and clean the barrel and check the bucking.

So i got to go out side and play with the hop up a lil and that helped the feeding problem, but it still will misfeed occasionally. I still have the stock internals that are in it so it just may be that they are what are causing the problem. Anyway its not missfeeding as much and it gave me a good excuse to tune the hop up right where i wanted it, even though i probably should have done that already...
