Re: gun lube
Use silicone oil on the O-rings, a use either silicone oil or white lithium grease on the moving metal parts. NEVER use WD40 in any airsoft situation.

Re: gun lube
Thank you for saving my rifle. I was in such hurry i was about to apply wd40
And I'm awfully confused on your directions. I may have used the wrong wording before, but all I need to do is just lube up the outer bolt, as in the silver piece that is constantly visible . So what should I use there?

Silicone oil or white lithium should be fine. Bolties aren't my area of expertise, though, so it might not hurt to wait for somebody like Clutch to weigh in.

Re: gun lube
If you know how to take it down into 2 parts i would do that and use some silicon oil and try to stay away from silicon grease on the outside of the cylinder because the thicker grease tends to attract alot of dirt. If you don't know how to break it down just put some silicon oil on the outside of the cylinder by pulling the bolt back like you a trying to load a bb and lightly coat it that way. If you have any questions about lubing inside the cylinder just let us know....

Re: gun lube
Thanks smoke!
Now I just have to get some silicon oil.
I don't think it will need to be lubed on the inside, just the outside.

Re: gun lube
^Ditto to Smoke on both counts, Chiclones usually come with crappy lube and compression.

Re: gun lube
Ok, so I just found sme winchester gun lube/cleaner in my storage room. Its called 'winchester break free CLP cleaner/lubricant/preservative'
Its made from petroleum distillates.
It says to:
- apply to metal surfaces
- Allow a few minutes ir more for penetration and cleaning action to occur.
-with movement or brushing of the parts foreign matter will break loose and can be wiped away.
-break free clp lubricates immediately.
So will this work?

Re: gun lube
NO! Never, ever use anything intended for real firearms on airsoft guns unless it is silicone based. That will chew through your O-rings like [racist chicken joke here].

Re: gun lube
So not even on the outer bolt? Ok, so can I just use the lube that comes with propane adapters/GBB? I'm pretty that stuff is silicon based.
