Alrighty then, my gun (a JG G36c) had an issue with jamming, I opened it up and found that the hop-up was broken. So I sent off for the new part. No problems there, pulled the gun apart and what do you know! A ton of little plastic pieces that go in very specific places and I'm in way over my head! Anyone care to give me a bit of advice? Thanks guys.

Have someone that knows what they are doing show you, or find a good video guide (not aware of any that pertain to this off the top of my head). I can fix it (and show you how it works) for $15 if it is just a hopup issue, but there are also plenty of other knowledgeable people that may do so for free. Ask around at a game.

I've got the same gun and found this web site that should help you, I know it helped me.

One thing for sure is to be carful pulling the hop-up out, first time I did mine I broke it.

Okay, I exaggerated. There are only two tiny pieces that I have no clue what they're even there for. Here's an image. So the horseshoe on is fairly self explanatory, it fits into the slot in the larger hop-up unit and slides into grooves in the metal barrel. However, with regard to the rubber seal, the two tiny pieces, the metal ring around the barrel, and placing the hop-up on the actual barrel, I am rather lost.

If you can provide sufficient assistance to help me assemble it from home that would be great, but if I have to come to a game to get it repaired, I'm willing to do that as well. Thank you guys for your assistance.

well good news is nothing is broken. the small round piece is the nub for your hop up, the other rubber piece is what moves it up or down depending on how much hop you want. the rubber "tube" is your hop up bucking. Its easy to reassemble, but not easy(at least not for me) to describe how to do it.
where are you located? if your nearby i might be able to just come and help you reassemble it.

I'm in Sumter, but I'd be willing to find you if it makes it more convenient.

Please go ahead and lock this thread. A friend and I managed to reassemble the hop-up with help from a youtube video.
