Nozzel to Hopup chamber alignment

I've replaced the body of my son's M4 with a plastic body I recently acquired. I'm assuming it had a two piece hopup (?) and I had to dremel out the top of the magwell.

Everything fits like it should with the exception of the nozzel to hopup chamber alignment. When closing the upper to the lower the nozzel doesn't align with the hopup chamber.

The upper and lower are the only newly added parts. Everything including outter barrel are from the old build.

The chamber is in all the way. The nozzel is cycled back.

Any ideas?

Pop out the front body pin, align the receivers (but have the upper receiver about 1/4 inch further out), then push the receivers against each other, put the pins in.

I briefly looked into doing that but that plastic tabs on the upper were going to be a real pain to work into place and I was afraid of breaking them. I'll look at it closer tomorrow.

Thanks

Have you tried sliding the gearbox into the upper receiver first?

That's what you have to do with the HurricanE metal bodies.  Talk about a pain in the arse.  They're metal AND have the tabs like a plastic body.

If you can't get it by TT, I'll be happy to take a look :).

Thanks for the offer but I got it. I guess I forgot I was working with plastic.  :-[  I was surprised at just how flexible that upper was. It was REALLY flexible. No prob at all.

Thanks again d00ds.
