For android/iphone/windows, Battle Tac. (not sure if its on iphone.)
For use on the field.,
Bsically it is a GPS, you have the ability to visit the batlletac website and upload a map of your field.
You can then have your team download the map onto their devices. Once downloaded the leader of the team can set positions on the map that the team can travel to, also has the ability to recognize friendly squads who are also running the software. Displays your position real time.

Thats an awesome find. Of course it looks good on paper I mean to say.
If it does what they want it to do it will be awesome. I've downloaded the PC version and loaded the iPhone web version. I'll do some experimenting.
After posting the "Game Tracker" app, I read more about it. It doesn't look so good. Expecially compared to this one.

I also have this on my Andriod powered phone and so far it seems ok. The real test will come in the field as positioning is done via mobile internet. If this app works out it will greatly improve squad movements and make a CO's job much easier.

I can see the future.....
You are pathfinding through think foliage. Then you hear a voice in your ear "TURN RIGHT AT NEXT SHRUBBERY"
You take one step past it.... RECALCULATING!!!

I can't say I've checked my cell signal at Redfox or Airfarm. Airfarm seems to be even more remote than Redfox. Having to depend on cell towers will definately be the weakest link in this setup. Of course you could always buy thier "Commander" hand held unit at $300.

Agree with phone case. I would honestly hate to have my screen accidently shot.
Or anywhere on my phone in general.
