g&g problems

recently(ish) bought a g&g raider, it is not the blowback model. i am having problems with the firing of the gun. i will take it apart, gearbox and all, look for problems, see none, put it back together, and get 20 to 30 shots out of it before it does not shoot. i think it is something electrical because i don't hear the motor spinning. a while back i did fire it a lot during a game and i might have overheated the motor. i have checked all the connections, and the trigger box and all the solders and connections look fine. is the motor bad? if not what is wrong?

Are you sure the battery is ok? That could be your problem.

If you have, then it is very possible the motor is dead. G&G doesn't always have the best motors in their guns.

iv tried 3 different batteries with it, two slightly used and one brand new, and still nothing any better.  what kind of motor do you suggest?

Well, an M130 deserves a good torque motor. Any "clone" torque motor will do just fine, by clone, I mean any of the cheap asian motors. JG motors are very strong, but you won't have a good rate of fire with them.

If you have the money though, I'd get a G&P M170 Motor. By far the best motor I have ever worked with. You'll get an outstanding rate of fire with that motor.

Don't order a motor before you're sure that's the problem; you might just be wasting money.

I haven't seen a late model G&G Raider; do they have auto-resetting fuses?

yea, i don't want to pay for a motor then find out it still doesn't work. and it actually doesn't have a fuse, i was surprised. so i'm planning on putting one in. but i'm pretty sure its something electrical, and i don't know what else it could be besides the motor.

Are the connectors small tamiyas? I have seen this sort of thing turn out to be loose ones before.

yes, the connector is a small tamiya, i actually had my charger plug slip out once and i couldn't figure out why it wasnt charging, haha. ok, i checked and the connections are fine in the tamiya plugs.

today i managed to squeeze about 50 rounds out of it before it stopped working, i out it down and about 30 seconds later i notice a weird smell, i immediately look at the battery and the tamiya connectors had melted together, so i quickly disconnected the wires and just let it sit. now i really have no clue what the problem is.

What voltage is the battery you are using?

Well, it is a G&G after all, so you can expect that to happen if you use a strong battery.

i'm using a 9.6v 1600 mah, i don't really want to use anything higher because, after all, it is a g&g. i will be getting some deans connectors sometime soon to keep the connections from burning like tamiyas always do to me.
