Classic Army G36c

Hey guys, I seem to be having a problem with my CA G36c not firing. If I take off the handgrip and move the barrel forward a little, then it fires again. However, I need to move it back so I can place my hanguard back on. Is this a problem with the hop-up being misaligned?

No, it fires, it just doesn't feed. And I'm using Madbull .25 bb's, if that helps any.

Sounds like the same problem I had with my G36. The air nozzle extends a little too far into the hop-up and keeps the BBs from getting in. All I did was make some little shims out of card-board and put them between the gearbox and the hop-up so that it would sit a little farther forward. That seemed to work fine for me.

That makes sense, now where exactly on the gearbox would I put them?

Between the front of the GB shell and the rear of the hopup chamber where it makes contact with said shell.

^what he said, that's exactly what I did. Just make sure they aren't blocking the air nozzle and you should be good to go. If you have trouble getting it right, I could do it for you at TDC.

Technically you didn't actually show it to me, Stephen did and I just confirmed it with you.

When the cardboard becomes flattened and worn then its time to fix it permanently. There is an advanced timing nub that fits over the sector gear's nub. This timing nub is a piece of metal that allows the tappet plate to be pushed further back and pulls back the air nozzle more so BBs can feed into the hop-up. It can be reversed for however much pull you need.

First of all, that doesn't pull it further back, it simply pulls it back sooner than the sector gear alone would. Secondly, that is not at all related to the issue he is having. His feeding issue is not caused by improper timing of the air nozzle's travel (which is only an issue in high ROF setups), but by a misalignment of the hopup chamber which has been remedied.
