AEG battery
I have a couple of batteries tht i am going to use for the game April 16th and 17th and they still have a little charge in them if i charge them on my smart charger on fri. evening my batteries will still have plenty of charge for the game right? And what could be the reason for some of my batteries to die after i charge them for 4 hours and they die in like 30 minutes.
Re: AEG battery
How old are the batteries? My 2 year old 8.4 wouldnt hold a charge, so i just trashed it. It was the same way.

For your first question, yes: a battery charged Friday will still have a charge on Saturday (though you could top it off for 10 minutes Saturday morning)BlackHawkAirsoft wrote:I have a couple of batteries tht i am going to use for the game April 16th and 17th and they still have a little charge in them if i charge them on my smart charger on fri. evening my batteries will still have plenty of charge for the game right? While the techs will have their say, I will say that stock batteries have a finite lifetime (that isn't that long) after which they will not hold a charge. When you say "30 minutes" do you mean just 30 minutes later or 30 minutes of use later?
For NiMH and NiCd batteries (the common stock type batteries), basic wall chargers and over charging the batteries tend to shorten their lifetime even more. Cold also drains them faster than normal.
For Lipos, it's the opposite: running these batteries until they die shortens their lifespan and using cheap chargers. Charging them on the wrong voltage setting can destroy them utterly. However, these batteries can hold a charge for months (and are supposed to be stored with a full charge).

If you have any old batts that are not working properly try having them rebuilt. I found a place in Greenville that will completely rebuild a 9.6 3800 for $23.00. Battery Specialists 864 228-8379 ,they are located off Furman Hall Road.
I had just bought a new 9.6 3800 for my son ($75.00) from a local airsoft store, when they told me the price I almost fell over.
From now on we are getting them rebuilt, I have had 2 rebuilt now and they are working fine.

Blackout, batteries do not last for a certain amount of time, they last for a certain amount of energy usage. The more you use semi and the more rounds you shoot the faster it will run out. BTW, this is a tech Q.
