Re: KWA M4 Upgrades Accuracy & Range (ROF?)
if it's running great then don't mess with it! Wait til something breaks, it will happen eventually...
If you absolutely have to do something to it look into a tight bore barrel or do some external mods such as optics, grips, different flashider, stocks, forgrips, etc.

I would like some external ups but I really would like to up the range, though its already pretty good. Would a tightbore do that? And what diameter of tightbore? 6.01 are too tight (dirt and crap) so I have heard, so would 6.03 be best?

I'm thinking M130 spring to up range a bit... Any upgrades needed to put in an M130? Other input still wanted.

Re: KWA M4 Upgrades Accuracy & Range (ROF?)
Tightbores are overrated; these aren't real firearms, thus, the barrel isn't nearly as important. If you want better range and accuracy, the #1 factor is the hop up. After that, you're talking about breaking open the gearbox and upgrading the spring.
Easiest way to upgrade ROF is to run a bigger battery. The next easiest is to put in a different motor, which is simple to do on a M4. Again, after that, you'll have to take the gearbox apart.
m130 probably wouldn't need any upgrades, but you'll lose some ROF.

Re: KWA M4 Upgrades Accuracy & Range (ROF?)
OK, so hopup. What do I need to do to my hopup? Bucking? nub? Whole new unit?
Re: KWA M4 Upgrades Accuracy & Range (ROF?)
your average BB is 5.95-5.96mm, so the school of though that a 6.01 is too tight or will get dirty and jam easier than a 6.03 is BS we're talking 2/100's of a MILLIMETER here, that's a human hair if you're wondering.
A tight bore will give you a little better accuracy if you keep it clean, mostly because the finish inside the barrel is superior to stock barrels, upgrading your hopup and using a heavier BB will also help with accuracy.
Other than and possibly more important than FPS for distance is the hop up again
Bottom line IMO is that too many people rely solely on huge rate of fire and 250' range to give them the advantage. You know what really gives you the edge? Training, practice and skill and knowing what your doing on the field.

Re: KWA M4 Upgrades Accuracy & Range (ROF?)
I've found that the best upgrades are actually done from household items and custom designs...
Look around use google, http://forums.airsoftmechanics.com/ and http://airsoftsniper.proboards.com/ there is a lot of information on those sites.
I've found that upgrading to a harder nub gave me a lot more range. But it probably shortens the life of the hop up rubber, and its also very finicky, if you turn the hop up on too much, it won't let the BB through, and causes the gun to jam.

What he said. You can have a 6.08 barrel shoot more accurately than a 6.03 barrel if its better cleaned and polished on the inside.

Re: KWA M4 Upgrades Accuracy & Range (ROF?)
Stock TM or try the Madbull ultimate.
I tend to stick with Systema or CA buckings and I make my own nubs. It's worked for the last 4yrs why change it now.

How do you MAKE a nub?
