Echo 1 g36c stop shooting

Post by blackout » Tue May 17, 2011 7:45 pm

Ok I was just shooting on semi and all of the sudden the trigger locked and its lock on safety but its not. Seems like everything locked up and now nothing is happening. And before this it was only shooting on semi and the selector switch did nothing basically it would spin in 360 degrees. So troubleshooting 2 issues here. Any input is welcome thanks.

Did you take the gearbox out prior to the problem?

To me, it sounds as if the selector switch isn't aligned with the selector plate. Ask Henry or another experienced tech; I'm going off what I have experienced with my guns.

Don't try to fix anything yet. Talk to someone more experienced at tech work to be sure about the problem. Talk to Dom, Star_Folder, or Gabe.

I stripped my g36 (echo 1 as well) just to try it in case I ever have to, and when I put it back together I had the same problem. Took it apart again and the selector plate (plastic black thing on the gearbox that slides) was broken. Little bit of careful super gluing later, runs great.

If the firing switch moves and doesn't catch, that's what it is.
