I have a TM Mp7 that will fire one bullet then jam. I can un jam it buy removing the mag and placing my hand over the mag well/bottom of pistol grip and it will fire out the bb. I have cleaned the barrel but I dont think that is the problem. Is there anyone who can work on TM AEPs and see whats going on with it.
Much thanks!
TM MP7 Jam/Problem
Re: TM MP7 Jam/Problem
Does it do it when you turn the hopup all the way off, and does it do it with multiple mags? So, it will fire one BB out of the barrel with a normal flat traverse, and then it will jam. When it jams, you remove the mag, and when you fire it will fire out one BB with a normal flat traverse?

Re: TM MP7 Jam/Problem
Does it always do this, or does it sometimes feed properly? All my TM G18C AEP mags will misfeed exactly like that if you load them completely. If you load them completely, and then pop one or two BBs off the stack they feed flawlessly.

Re: TM MP7 Jam/Problem
The first and only BB it fires either on full or semi has low FPS and trajectory, and sounds weak. I have tried with barely filled mags, full mags, and something in between and it still happens. And it used to work fine but now it always does this. And it does it with all of my mags. The BB that fires when I put my hand over the mag well fires out at a strong FPS and normal trajectory. I turned the hop up down all the way and for about half of a mag it fired great on full auto. But I put it another mag and now its doing it again.
I took it to a local Airsoft Shop but they said they couldn't get AEP parts and couldn't help me.
Thanks for your help so far guys.

Re: TM MP7 Jam/Problem
You most certainly can get replacement parts for AEPs, but you have to order from Hong Kong. It sounds like some sort of air seal problem; it could be the air nozzle, but then again it could be the tappet plate or any number of other issues. It's almost certainly mechanical, since covering the magwell (sealing in the air) caused it to fire with more "oomph".
You're going to need to tear it down to find out what's up, unfortunately.

Re: TM MP7 Jam/Problem
Fortunately MP7s are an easy take down. Did you clean the barrel? What BBs are you using? Partially decomposed bio BBs or marking BBs that are damp could be filling the chamber with crap quite quickly. If none of these are the answer, open it and inspect the air nozzle, barrel, and hopup components. Cycle the GB outside of the body and feel the air pressure, also watch for the traverse of the air nozzle and make sure it is correct.
