I have been wanting to get started on a DMR build but there is a deal breaker. Will an Ajax Customs STS fit in a KWA m16.
I am thinking not because of the split hop-up.
Let me know what you guys know.
I was thinking that I could Fabricate my own out of wood. Wood because the ease of manipulation

It only work with a single piece hopup unit if I remember correctly. I'd pull it out of my SPR and check, but that would end badly for my gearbox (being split in half and all).

Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm pretty sure that I can just put a one piece hop up in there.

Using wood would defeat the purpose, as wood would compress instead of transferring the energy.

Use Sorbo. It's much cheaper than the STS, and will work in any gearbox. Doesn't involve the hop up at all.

I don't think you can put a one piece hopup in a KWA receiver without modifying the lower receiver and changing out the air nozzle.

The mod of the receiver isn't bad, and you can just dremel down the air nozzle ridge if you don't feel like opening the GB.
