My TM M4 is having firing issues.

Hello Gents. ShadowSpec from Team Exxorrus I have a question on my TM M4 that is having some issues. But let me start off with some specs on the gun.
The gun is about 5 to 6 years old, it's my first Airsoft gun. It shoots about a 320 - 350 fps.
About 2 years the upper receiver of the gun had broken off and I left it alone until several weeks ago. So I ordered a new upper receiver, changed it all out, and everything seemed to be fine. I slipped the stock battery in (It's an 8.4 600mah) battery, flip the safety and pull the trigger to only find out that my gun is not firing. So I checked my motor and that was all good and I slip it back in. I try it again and I pull the trigger and my fuse blows. I get another fuse (Gold plated 20A fuse) and try it again. It does the same thing.
I'm not sure whats wrong with it anymore so does anyone else have the slightest idea what might be wrong with the gun?

Wires might have gotten pinched.

Alright, so something has happened that is causing terrible resistance within your system. Most likely, it's got to do with your motor height being improper because you removed it. There are three screws in the bottom of the pistol grip, did you mess with the middle screw at all?
Also, when you first pulled the trigger, did you feel a click in the pistol grip at all? or did absolutely nothing happen when you pulled the trigger?

If by middle screw you mean the one that pushes the motor down then yes I did mess that.
Now when I pulled the triggered, nothing happened but the fuse sparking and burning out.

yep, there's your problem, you shouldn't have messed with that. Your motor is probably too high up to spin, thus it's creating lots of resistance, popping fuses. You need to lower your motor height until it spins like it should.

600mah? Are you sure about that?
Slick, do you mean a short, or wires literally being pinched? I ask because many people do not understand the difference and it is very important to distinguish between the two.
Shadow, as Star asked, when you pull the trigger do you hear the slightest noise of the motor trying to spin but failing, or is there no noise whatsoever? How quickly does the fuse blow? Does it blow only when you pull the trigger, or will it still blow even if you do not attempt to fire it and merely plug the battery in?

I'm very sure mate. It came with the gun about 6 years ago when my father bought me it in Hawaii as a birthday present. I can even show you the Bats! lol
No I don't hear a noise or anything when the trigger is pulled. When you pull the trigger, the fuse instantly blows.

1. Remove motor from pistol grip
2. Connect wires, hold motor in one hand so it doesn't spin into oblivion.
3. Pull trigger
If the only problem is your motor being too high, then simply running it outside the grip will solve it. If it *still* blows fuses, then something else is wrong.

we thought it was a wiring issue, we bought a 200 Amp fuse, and it blew it out with no problem. i was like WTF?

Have you tried different fuses? that may help.

we used a 200 Amp fuse, a fuse that powers car stereos, and it blew that out.

When you checked the motor, how did you check it? did you pull it out, plug it up and pull the trigger to see if it spun?
(if you do this, make sure you are holding onto the motor, it will jump around rather forcefully. Make sure you've got a good grip before you pull the trigger, and keep your hand clear of the pinion gear.)

Yeah... I am going to have to go with Dom on this on. Sounds like one of your wires is grounding out and causing your fuses to pop.
