KWA M4 not firing properly

Post by TokenTech89 » Mon Nov 14, 2011 3:51 pm

i read on another thread about the bucking issue, but wwith my friends M4, it won't shoot semi, but will shot every other one in full auto.

Any thoughts about this problem.

What do you mean it will shoot every other one in full auto? Do you mean that when in semi it functions the same as full auto, or something else? Be extremely specific as to what the symptoms are.

it doesn't double feed. rather it alternates between dry fire and actually firing a bb out. in semi fire, it doesn't fire any shots at all, basically dry firing the entire time in semi mode.

OK, so, in full auto the gun only fires a BB out every other cycle; In semi auto, it does nothing but dry fire?

Is it entirely stock?

When it does fire, does it do so with a normal trajectory, or does it basically roll out of the barrel?

Have you fired it with the hopup turned all the way off?

it is entirely stock, no internal upgrades what so ever.

when it does fire, it shoots out like it would. we brought it out to Op24 in hopes of using it, but we could not because of the problem

and I tried it not long ago with the hop-up all the way off and all the way up. both gave the same results.

it is really confusing with this one....

Can you take quality video of the magwell when firing in both settings so that I can see how far back the airnozzle is going during it's cycle?

i took a look inside the magwell, and did a few test shots, the airnozzel diesn't go fully back after the trigger was released. both in semi and in full auto. a little still sticks out, preventing the next bb from sliding up.

That could be a number of things, but the easy fix is to shim the chamber against the shell.

that, my friend, is where i will leave that up to the professionals to do. i hope the ace hardware store can do repairs like that, or someone near here can do that

I don't think the ACE hardware store guys know what a hopup chamber even looks like. It's not hard, just put something between the two.

I suggest going through the Services Sale forum. It's at the bottom of the main page. There are a few of us that offer tech work, I could take a look at it, but I live in lexington.
