AKM Build

I'm getting ready to do a major external overhaul on my AKM.
Right now, I'm planning on getting a RS slanted muzzle brake, a few sets of furniture like Steevo's, a handmade sling(made by my best friend who's into tanning) and taped orange bakelite mags.
I don't want to plagiarize Steevo, so what do you guy's think would be cool? Keep in mind that I'm going for an old school look.

Eh, it's tacticool, but I like practicool.
Weathered metal, taped mags, real wood, etc.
Also, Felix's second pic looks like an SKS on dope.
EDIT: This is what I'm getting to start with, hopefully ordering tonight:

Parts look good and lol my gun is just as practical as it is tactical, and yes its an SKS variant (or so i believe)

That's as much a SKS as it is a car. That's a Saiga with a Dragunov style stock, way too much rail, and unmodified trigger group.

My stuff got here!
The muzzle brake fits better than the original did, and looks awesome. All three sets of furniture came with grips like Felix's first pic, which is awesome. My Dad started working on fitting the furniture(I'm not because I have a lot of schoolwork to do. Speaking of which, I better go get started)
