Is it possible to put the internals of an airsoft midcao into a RS AK47 mag and make it fit a CYMA AKM?

Thanks!

I don't think you can because I believe the whole mag is the midcap mechanism. You could probably be able to do this with a hicap.

Simple rule of thumb: Any metal airsoft AK mag (and therefore with a plastic internal shell) should be convertible with real shells. The same applies to the more expensive polymer mags.

This will NOT be cheap! Bakelite mags run $50+ a piece, sometimes up to $150. Plum and black polymer mags run $25-45. Metal mags can be had cheaper, but they'll still set you back $10-15 at least. You would get far cheaper (and comparable in cosmetic appeal) results simply by getting G&P, RealSword, or high end metal magazines and weathering them. For bakelite or plum mags, just get the cheap MAG midcaps and stain them to look more realistic.
